Accountant II

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our Accounting Department at BAE Systems Inc. This role offers the opportunity to work across multiple functions including Fixed Assets, General Ledger and Intercompany. The Staff Accountant is responsible for ensuring accurate, timely and compliant accounting processes across these areas. Key responsibilities include maintaining data integrity, performing monthly close activities and reconciliations, managing fixed assets records, supporting cash and expense-related transactions, and supporting intercompany billing and settlement processes. The role also requires maintaining audit-ready documentation.
 

Typically a Bachelor's Degree and 2 years work experience or equivalent experience

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting, Finance or related field
• 2-3 years of professional accounting experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail
• Good written and verbal communications skills
• Self-driven with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced term environment

• Experience with Deltek Costpoint is a plus
