Be sure to also check out the Hattiesburg Zoo and Mississippi Armed Forces Museum in nearby Hattiesburg.  With the Jackson-Medgar Wiley Evers International Airport just an hour away, you can easily hop a flight to anywhere in the world.     Nearby educational institutions include Jones College and the University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg.  What Does a Typical Day Look Like? Here are your primary responsibilities (additional details will be discussed during the interview):  Lead all maintenance and engineering activities to ensure safe, reliable, and cost-effective plant operations.  Manage preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs to support production and reliability goals.  Oversee maintenance planning, scheduling, and execution, including plant shutdowns and turnarounds.  Provide engineering leadership for capital projects, plant modifications, and process improvements.  Partner with Operations, Safety, Environmental, Quality, and Finance teams to achieve site objectives.  Drive compliance with OSHA PSM, Mechanical Integrity, MOC, and environmental regulations.  Use data, KPIs, and reliability metrics to identify improvement opportunities and guide decision-making.  What is Needed to be Successful in this Role (Required Skills/Abilities):  Required Qualifications:  Minimum of five (5) years of maintenance leadership experience in an industrial manufacturing environment, preferably chemical manufacturing.  Demonstrated leadership experience in maintenance, engineering, or reliability functions.  Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and industrial equipment systems.  Proven ability to manage budgets, capital projects, and maintenance programs.  Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.  Excellent communication and collaboration skills.  Preferred Qualifications:  Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field (or equivalent industry experience).  Experience with OSHA PSM, Mechanical Integrity, MOC, and HAZOP processes.  Familiarity with CMMS, predictive maintenance technologies, and reliability tools, SAP preferred.  Knowledge of applicable electrical codes and industry standards.  Experience supporting sustainability or energy-reduction initiatives.  Are you ready to help us build a better tomorrow and put your fingerprints on the world?  Apply for this exciting opportunity, and learn more about our hiring process, insights from our global associates, our robust benefits and more at Bakelite.com/careers.
