As a Merchant, you will be responsible for the Trees assortment for our secondary brands, driving the end-to-end merchandising strategy, from assortment planning and product lifecycle management to cross-functional execution and performance analysis. Our ideal candidate is detail oriented, thrives within a fast-pasted environment, and has strong communication and analytical skills.

This full-time position reports to the Director of Merchandising, Trees and is expected to work in a hybrid model which includes Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday in-office.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain the tree assortment strategy and seasonal line plans, ensuring alignment with brand, customer, and financial goals
  • Collaborate with Planning to help inform inventory forecasts and pricing decisions to achieve margin and inventory objectives
  • Oversee product data accuracy across seasonal line lists, Product Information Forms (PIFs), and the Product Information Management (PIM) system
  • Ensure all new and carryover product information is complete, accurate, and delivered on time to support launches
  • Review and approve vendor-provided product information, ensuring it meets quality, compliance, and brand standards
  • Serve as a primary cross-functional point of contact for your category, communicating key updates, risks, and timelines
  • Partner with vendors on product development details, packaging requirements, labeling, and key milestones
  • Support go-to-market execution by collaborating with Marketing and Creative teams to ensure accurate product representation
  • Contribute to catalog strategy and pagination planning as needed
  • Analyze sales performance, customer insights, and market trends to inform assortment decisions
  • Monitor competitive landscape and provide recommendations on pricing, features, and positioning
  • Support continuous improvement of merchandising processes and tools to drive efficiency and scalability
  • Prepare and present seasonal strategies, performance recaps, and business recommendations to leadership
  • Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred
  • 8+ years of merchandising or category management experience, preferably in retail or e-commerce
  • Proven ability to own and manage a product category with increasing levels of responsibility
  • Strong analytical and financial acumen, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Strong structured thinking and problem-solving capabilities
  • Effective communicator with the ability to influence cross-functional partners and vendors
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment

The base pay range for this position is: $108,000 to $134,000. Please note that placement within the posted salary range is based on several factors, including geographic location, experience, skills, alignment with role requirements and other job-related factors. It is uncommon for offers to be made at the top of the range, as this typically reflects a candidate who exceeds all role requirements and brings significant, directly applicable experience. We benchmark our pay ranges against current external data sources and regularly review compensation for our team members.
