Residential DSP 32hours in Anne Arundel County

**Job Summary:**
We are looking for a dedicated Residential Direct Support Professional (DSP) to work in two residential homes located in Anne Arundel County. The DSP will split their time between Home (1) in Gambrills on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 3pm to 11pm, and Home (2) in Glen Burnie on Fridays and Saturdays from 11pm to 7am, totaling 32 hours per week. The DSP will be responsible for providing compassionate care and support to individuals with disabilities in a residential setting.

**Qualifications:**
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous experience in a similar position preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, especially when interacting with individuals with disabilities
- Patient and empathetic approach to caregiving
- Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment

**Responsibilities:**
- Assist residents with daily tasks, including meal preparation, personal hygiene, and medication management
- Support residents in achieving their personal goals and objectives
- Maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable living environment in both homes
- Keep detailed and accurate records of daily activities and any concerns, reporting them to the appropriate supervisor
- Create a positive and encouraging atmosphere that promotes residents' well-being
- Collaborate closely with team members to ensure the highest quality of care for all individuals

**Additional Requirements:**
- Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds and standing for extended periods
- Possession of a valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation
- Willingness to undergo a background check and complete any necessary training
- Must attend and complete required training in the alotted time frame
