The Senior AWS/Cloud Database Engineer is responsible for providing technical support for the design, implementation, and maintenance of cloud-based database systems.

This includes managing and optimizing databases, ensuring data security, problem-solving for high level database issues, developing automation tools, and working closely with development teams.

The ideal candidate is familiar with database technologies, cloud services, and has a problem-solving attitude.

Clearance: Must be U.S. Citizen to be eligible for DoD Secret security clearance

Core Work Hours: 7am - 4pm (EST) Monday – Friday, except Government Holidays

This is a remote position

Responsibilities:

Design, implement, and manage databases and data delivery systems and transform them into insights, analysis, and reports.
Create automation for repeating database tasks.
Manage and optimize databases for maximum performance, efficiency, and quality.
Ensure that all database systems meet business and performance requirements.
Produce ad-hoc queries and develop reports to support business needs.
Participate in data migration, data integration, and data conversion projects.
Monitor database performance, implement changes and apply new patches and versions when required.
Work closely with development teams for database design, implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance.

Requirements

US Citizen, eligible for DoD Secret Clearance
8+ years of proven work experience as a Cloud Database Engineer or similar role.
Knowledge of data backup, recovery, security, integrity and SQL.
Experience with database design, documentation and coding.
Familiarity with database design, documentation and coding.
Previous experience with DBA case tools (frontend/backend) and third party tools.
Experience with AWS cloud services.
Familiarity with programming languages API.
Experience with ServiceNow FSM is a plus
