  • This role is based in Plainfield, IN and requires you to work onsite 5 days per week.
  • To be considered, you must live within commuting distance, as regular in-person collaboration is a key part of the role.

This role requires a technically skilled candidates with excellent attention to detail. Order Picker Drivers are responsible for optimizing loads to ensure operational efficiency, scheduling vehicles for maintenance and repairs, and managing inventory by utilizing RF scanning equipment, among other duties.

Order Picker Drivers will need to transport valuable items, requiring diligence and good hand-eye coordination.

Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED.
  • 1-2 years previous warehouse experience.
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination.
  • Proficiency in operating technical machinery and RF scanners.
  • Good physical condition.
  • Mathematical aptitude.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Good written and verbal communication.

  • Ability to ascend or descend stairs.
  • Moving self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces.
  • Standing for prolonged periods of time (8-10 hours/day).
  • Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another.
  • Adjusting or moving objects up to 50 pounds in all directions.
  • Communicating with others to exchange information.
  • Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
  • Operating motor vehicles or heavy equipment.
  • Assessing the accuracy, neatness and thoroughness of the work assigned.
  • Noisy environments.
  • Medium work that includes moving objects up to 50 pounds or more.

  • Must be alert, a fast learner, with retention/recall skills.
  • Must be highly productive and have a positive team-oriented attitude.
  • Must have excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Must have the ability to produce high quality work in all operations.
  • Must be able to effectively collaborate with other team members, in a diverse environment.
  • Must be able to read, write legibly and count accurately.
  • Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Must have basic/fundamental computer literacy and be familiar with Excel.
  • Must have the ability to consistently follow policies and procedures

Responsibilities

  • →Loading, unloading, shipping, and receiving warehouse items.
  • →Transporting materials to different locations within the facility.
  • →Optimizing loads to ensure operational efficiency.
  • →Securing loads to the machine before transportation.
  • →Inspecting for damages to vehicles.
  • →Scheduling vehicles for maintenance and repairs.
  • →Operating and managing technical equipment.
  • →Managing inventory by utilizing RF scanning equipment.
  • →Picking and wrapping orders for shipment.
  • →Identifying workplace safety hazards.
  • →Adhering to safety management standards.
  • →Adhering to production schedules.
  • →Other duties, as assigned

We are pleased to share the hourly rate for this position is $20.50. If you are hired at BDA, your compensation will be determined based on factors that may include geographic location, skills, education, and experience. In addition to these factors, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as a part of any offer. In the spirit of pay transparency, the range listed is the full base salary range for the role and hiring at the top of the range would not be typical, in order to allow for future salary growth. The range listed is just one component of BDA’s total compensation and rewards programs, which includes: robust PTO; vacation, a paid volunteer day, holidays and summer Fridays, Benefits; medical, dental, vision, life, and AD&D insurance, 401k; tuition reimbursement, mental health and financial wellness programs and professional development opportunities including tuition reimbursement. Certain revenue-generating positions may be eligible for incentive compensation.
