Designer

We are seeking a highly creative and detail-oriented Fashion Designer to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong eye for elevated basics, a deep understanding of garment construction, and hands-on experience across multiple product categories. You will play a key role in designing and developing seasonal collections that align with the BELLA+CANVAS brand aesthetic and innovation goals.

• →Bachelor’s degree (4-year) in Fashion Design or related field required
• →5–7 years of professional experience in fashion design, preferably within premium or contemporary basics
• →Strong eye for high-fashion basics, proportion, and refined detailing
• →Proven experience working with garment dye processes and wash development
• →Proficiency with PLM systems and Adobe Creative Suite
• →Knowledge across a wide range of product categories (apparel, bags, headwear, socks)
• →Strong understanding of fabrics, trims, and garment construction
• →Strong portfolio showcasing the full design process from concept through final product creation
• →Must be based in Southern California (local candidates only)
• →Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects
• →Experience creating and maintaining design libraries for fabrics, trims, and product development
• →Strong communication and collaboration skills
• →Experience working on special projects with global cultural institutions and/or large-scale events (e.g., international collaborations, major cultural or sporting events)
• →A designer who obsesses over the details but understands the power of simplicity
• →Someone who can elevate everyday essentials into premium, fashion-driven pieces
• →A team player who thrives in a collaborative, fast-moving environment

The base salary range for this position is $100,000-$110,000 per year which represents the current range for the base salary for this exempt position. Please note that actual salaries will vary based on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. As such, on occasion and when applicable, there is the possibility that the final, agreed-upon base salary may be outside of the upper end of the range. Please also note the range listed is just one component of the company’s total rewards package for exempt employees. Other rewards may include performance bonuses, long term incentives, a PTO policy, and many other progressive benefits.
