Betsson Group is seeking an experienced Head of HR to join the team. Based at Betsson’s Operational HQ in Malta, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our people and culture strategy, delivering impactful HR initiatives, and ensuring our HR practices continue to support a high-performing organisation.
Supporting a vibrant community of 1,400+ employees in Malta, you will manage and work closely with our Lead HR Business Partners to provide expert guidance, innovative solutions, and meaningful support that enhances the overall employee experience.
As a key member of the Malta leadership team, reporting directly to the Chief HR Officer, you will play an important role in driving the smooth running of our Malta hubs while contributing to the continued growth and success of the organisation.
Responsibilities
~2 min read- →Develop and own the 360° HR strategy for Malta, ensuring alignment with broader HR strategies including Talent Management, HR Business Partnering, and overall company objectives.
- →Lead the leadership and culture strategy for Malta, collaborating closely with Talent Development and HR Business Partners to foster a strong and consistent leadership culture.
- →Partner with our Head of Talent Acquisition and Employer Branding Specialist to strengthen the employer value proposition of Betsson Group, supporting strategic workforce planning and executing initiatives to enhance talent attraction.
- →Review, maintain, and update HR policies and procedures for Malta, ensuring compliance with local legislation while enhancing the overall employee experience.
- →Collaborate with HRBP Leads and our Talent Rewards team to maintain a fair, competitive, and consistent compensation and benefits framework, ensuring internal parity and governance.
- →Monitor and analyse Malta-specific employee data and HR metrics to identify trends, improvement areas, or potential risks, and partner with HRBP Leads to develop and implement action plans. Provide regular insights and reporting to Talent Engagement and the CHRO for Malta.
- →Work closely with Talent Development to assess, design, and implement leadership training programs, strengthening leadership capabilities and reinforcing the desired culture within the Malta organisation.
- →Work closely with Office & Facilities Management team to ensure workplace operations run efficiently and we continue to offer a great workplace experience for our teams.
- →Lead and support key local initiatives, including Betsson Malta Meetings, the Social Impact Committee, Betsson Ambassadors, and HR-related programs within Malta.
- →Champion an inclusive and positive workplace culture that supports diversity, engagement, and employee well-being.
- →Drive a best-in-class employee experience in Malta, leading events, activities, and cross-team initiatives that foster collaboration and strengthen engagement across the organisation.
- Minimum of 8+ years in a similar leadership HR role.
- Proven ability to develop and implement HR strategies aligned with business goals and organisational growth.
- Strong knowledge of Maltese employment law, HR policies, and compliance requirements.
- Experience leading and developing HR teams, including coaching HR Business Partners and managing the overall HRBP function.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to advise and influence senior leadership.
- Analytical and strategic mindset, with experience using HR metrics and workforce data to support decision-making and workforce planning.
