We seek a talented, highly motivated Associate Analyst to be a part of our Malaysia team based in Kuala Lumpur.

Position Responsibilities

Manage a portfolio of clients with a focus on the Malaysia market:

• 
  Research and monitor selected business and investment sector issues, including government policies, legislative and regulatory developments, industry developments, consumer trends and issues, and business and investment opportunities on behalf of BGA.
• 
  Analyze and interpret the corporate, business, policy, and political implications of specific government regulations, policies, and laws at national, district, and city levels.
• 
  Contribute to well-written, succinct, and actionable reports and presentations of research and information to clients and to BGA leaders.
• 
  Possess a willingness and ability to build networks and relationships with bureau-crats and public officials, parliament members, the business community, media, civil society organizations, consumer groups, and other personnel relevant to BGA and its clients.
• 
  Provide information and analysis on stakeholders and other relevant actors.
• 
  Advise and assist BGA clients in developing and implementing business, government relations, corporate social responsibility, media, public affairs, and other strategies.

Job Requirements

We seek an exceptionally collegial, eager, highly motivated self-starter who can work independently and collaboratively, anticipate client and company needs, and be part of a high-performing Malaysia and global team. The ideal candidate has been involved in government affairs, public policy, or healthcare policy work and maintains a strong network of public and private sector interlocutors.

Qualifications: 

• Fresh graduate are encouraged to apply.
• Business level English, native level Malaysian and excellent written and oral communications skills in both languages. 
• 
  Excellent research and analysis skills and knowledge of the public and private sectors. Knowledge of additional sectors, including ICT, finance, natural resources, manufacturing, telecommunications, healthcare, pharmaceutical and others, a plus. 
  
• A keen understanding of Malaysia’s political-economic environment and the ability to navigate it on behalf of clients. 
• Proficiency in MS Office and basic internet applications are required, as is enthusiasm and ability to learn and adopt new technologies. 
• Education: Minimum bachelor’s degree is required, and master’s degree is preferred.
