Events Manager

We’re looking for an Events Manager to help bring our brand to life across North America through high-impact trade shows, hosted events, and virtual experiences that engage buyers, influence revenue, and support our sales teams worldwide.

You’ll work side-by-side with Sales, Product Marketing, and Demand Marketing to design event strategies that resonate with prospects and customers -- and translate directly into business impact. From big industry conferences to targeted hosted experiences, your work will sit at the center of Black Duck’s go-to-market engine.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Help plan and deliver Black Duck’s presence at trade shows, hosted events, internal conferences, and seminars -- bringing our brand and story to life
- →Own the details: coordinate vendors, manage budgets, track expenses, and ensure flawless execution from planning through follow-up
- →Partner closely with marketing, sales, and internal teams to drive strong promotion, attendance, and engagement
- →Program manage all aspects of trade shows, including booth planning, services ordering, deliverables, and onsite staffing
- →Create compelling event content -- landing pages, email campaigns, social promotion, and supporting assets -- that drives registrations and attendance
- →Research, evaluate, and recommend new event opportunities aligned to growth goals
- →Measure what matters: track and report on event ROI, pipeline influence, and overall performance
- →Support onsite and virtual execution, including venue selection and negotiation, logistics, timelines, creative assets, and operations
- →Maintain a global events calendar and manage inventory of event-related materials and assets
- 2+ years of experience in event or field marketing, ideally in a B2B technology environment
- A willingness to travel up to 50% to support trade shows and events
- A bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in marketing, event management, or a related field
- Excellent organizational, communication, and project management skills
- The ability to juggle multiple priorities and move quickly without losing attention to detail
- A solid understanding of event best practices and performance measurement
- Curiosity about how AI and emerging technologies can enhance marketing and events
- Experience in cybersecurity and/or software development is a strong plus

What We Offer
~1 min readThe base salary range for this role across the U.S. is $65,800 – $98,700, plus eligibility for a bonus. Black Duck offers a competitive total rewards package, including benefits designed to support your well-being, growth, and work-life balance. Compensation is based on location, skills, experience, and education.
