Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Collaborate with electrical and hardware engineering teams during development to help identify component options that align with technical goals, manufacturability, and long-term support.
- →Engage with sourcing partners and suppliers to stay ahead of market availability, roadmap changes, and alternate part opportunities.
- →Support prototype and early build readiness by helping align technical component needs with supply timing and execution.
- →Track component lifecycle health, including obsolescence trends, product changes, and continuity concerns, then help drive practical response plans.
- →Maintain clean and accurate part records, supporting documentation, and alternate component data within internal business systems.
- →Contribute to cost and risk improvement efforts by helping standardize parts, reduce exposure, and improve scalability across hardware programs.
- →Act as a trusted technical liaison among engineering, operations, quality, and external partners to keep decisions aligned and moving forward.
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a similar technical discipline.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in component engineering, parts engineering, sustaining engineering, or another electronics centered role.
- Ability to review schematics, interpret datasheets, and communicate technical tradeoffs with both engineers and suppliers.
- Experience supporting new product introduction, engineering changes, or product lifecycle activity in a complex hardware environment.
- Familiarity with PLM, ERP, or component intelligence tools used to manage part records and lifecycle risk.
- Strong communication, organization, and stakeholder management skills in a fast-moving setting.
Nice to Have
~1 min read- Exposure to PCBA based products and electronic component selection.
- Familiarity with formal engineering change processes and controlled product documentation.
- Experience working with contract manufacturers or global supplier networks.
- Knowledge of lifecycle monitoring, compliance support, or part risk analysis tools.
- Success in roles that required both technical depth and cross functional influence.
- Broad visibility across multiple products and future development efforts.
