Responsibilities

  • Perform walk-through assessments of assembly and machining cells, validating compliance with documented work instructions, safety rules, and quality checkpoints.
  • Cross-reference published SOPs with observed practices, flagging gaps and recommending corrective actions that boost first-pass yield.
  • Capture non-conformances and skill variances in an audit log, then collaborate with Learning & Development to schedule targeted up-skilling.
  • Coach operators in real time, reinforcing best-practice techniques that minimize scrap and downtime.
  • Audit travelers, inspection logs, and other production records for completeness and traceability.
  • Consolidate audit data into weekly dashboards, analyzing trends and highlighting high-impact improvement projects.
  • Partner with trainers to refresh onboarding content and create micro-learning modules driven by audit insights.
  • Participate in Kaizen events and Lean projects, sharing frontline observations to accelerate process optimization.

Requirements

  • 3+ years in a high-mix manufacturing setting with exposure to quality auditing, training, or process control.
  • Keen eye for detail, strong verbal feedback skills, and the confidence to coach peers on the production floor.
  • Proficiency with basic computer applications (e.g., Excel, ERP or MES data entry).
  • Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills highly valued.
  • Ability to stand and walk the production floor for 8–10 hour shifts.
  • Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs on occasion.
  • Typical manufacturing surroundings include PPE, noise, and moving machinery.
