Blueline Security Services is seeking dedicated, professional, and motivated Armed Special Police Officers (SPOs) to join our growing team in Washington, DC. We are looking for individuals who are licensed-or capable of becoming licensed-and committed to protecting communities through professionalism, accountability, and integrity.

This position involves providing security and patrol services at residential apartment communities and other assigned properties throughout Washington, DC. Officers will conduct mobile and foot patrols, monitor for suspicious activity, respond to incidents, and maintain a highly visible security presence.

This is an overnight cruiser position requiring professionalism, alertness, and the ability to work independently while remaining in close communication with dispatch and site management.

No prior security experience is required. Blueline Security Services will provide the necessary training for qualified candidates.

  Conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols throughout assigned properties

• →

  Maintain a visible presence to deter criminal activity, trespassing, theft, vandalism, and disturbances

• →

  Observe and report suspicious activity, safety hazards, or policy violations

• →

  Perform Special Police Officer duties when necessary and in accordance with DC regulations

• →

  Complete detailed and accurate incident, activity, and daily reports

• →

  Respond appropriately to emergencies and contact law enforcement, fire, or EMS when required

• →

  Work directly with dispatch and follow all dispatch instructions and post orders

• →

  Address tenant, resident, and client security concerns professionally and respectfully

• →

  Monitor entrances, parking areas, common spaces, and surrounding property grounds

• →

  Enforce property rules while maintaining professionalism and strong customer service

• Must possess or be eligible to obtain a DC Special Police Officer (SPO) License

• Must be at least 21 years old for armed positions

• High school diploma, GED, or at least 5 years of verifiable work experience required

• Must be able to pass a background investigation and drug screening

• Valid driver's license required for cruiser/mobile patrol positions

• Must have reliable transportation and dependable attendance

• Must be available to work overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays as required

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Excellent observation and situational awareness abilities

• Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations

• Strong conflict resolution and de-escalation skills

• Ability to interact professionally with residents, visitors, clients, and the public

• Comfortable operating radios, telephones, mobile devices, and security equipment

• Strong report writing and attention to detail required

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Prior security, military, law enforcement, or customer service experience preferred

• Previous experience working apartment, retail, or mobile patrol security is a plus

• Knowledge of DC security licensing requirements preferred
