About the Role

We’re looking for a Data Center Infrastructure Installer with a valid Washington State Electrical Limited Energy 06 License to support Research and Development data center environments in Redmond and Totem Lake.

This is a hands-on infrastructure installation role focused on rack and cabinet builds, fiber and copper cabling, and the physical deployment of data center infrastructure within pre-production lab environments. You’ll work in advanced server environments where new technologies are built, tested, and validated before broader deployment.

This role is ideal for someone with a background in low-voltage installation, structured cabling, telecommunications, or field service who maintains high safety standards, communicates clearly, and takes pride in well-executed infrastructure work.

What You'll Do

  • Install, build, and secure network and server racks and cabinets.
  • Pull, route, terminate, test, and troubleshoot fiber-optic and copper cabling.
  • Install and support low-voltage and limited-energy systems.
  • Perform installation and break/fix troubleshooting on network and server infrastructure.
  • Conduct inspections of HVAC, low-voltage, and air systems as required.
  • Receive, move, and position equipment within the facility.
  • Maintain inventory of fiber, copper, hardware, tools, and related materials.
  • Document completed work and project updates within ADO or an equivalent ticketing system.
  • Monitor and respond to safety and security issues.
  • Operate or learn to operate equipment such as forklifts.
  • Support lab consolidation and infrastructure deployment projects.
  • Assist with testing infrastructure before enterprise-scale deployment.
  • Read and interpret installation diagrams, rack elevations, and cabling layouts.

How You'll Spend Your Time

  • 80% hands-on installation and maintenance.
  • 10% coordination and meetings.
  • 10% documentation and administrative updates.
  • What You’ll Bring
  • Valid Washington State Electrical Limited Energy 06 License.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Five to seven years of hands-on field experience in infrastructure, telecommunications, or installation environments, including at least three years installing and maintaining network or telecommunications equipment.
  • Hands-on experience with rack-and-stack work, cabling, and physical infrastructure installation.
  • Experience installing and troubleshooting fiber-optic systems.
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills.
  • Clear communication skills and the ability to provide timely, accurate updates.
  • Familiarity with OSHA requirements and workplace safety standards.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and safely perform physically demanding work.
  • Ability to work entirely onsite in Redmond and Totem Lake.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Trade coursework related to electrical systems, telecommunications, structured cabling, or infrastructure installation.
  • Experience working in structured cabling, low-voltage installation, or field installation environments.
  • Experience supporting Research and Development, pre-production, or data center lab environments.
  • Experience using ADO or a comparable ticketing and work-management platform.
  • Experience operating forklifts or similar equipment.
