Partner & Product Specialist (IT Services) supports the Head of Product and Vendor Management in executing BMIT’s product, solutions, and vendor ecosystem strategies. Sitting at the commercial and operational intersection of the business, this role is responsible for driving the end-to-end product lifecycle, maintaining pricing models, and optimising vendor partner programs.
Acting as a critical interdepartmental liaison, the specialist ensures seamless internal communication regarding product portfolios and vendor capabilities, while actively assisting in procurement operations, compliance, and license oversight. The successful candidate will be organised, commercially aware, and comfortable working across teams, combining attention to detail with the communication skills to keep product and vendor activity running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities:
Product and Solutions Support
- Lifecycle Coordination: Assist in managing the product and solution lifecycle: conceptualisation, development, launch, and post-deployment. This includes building commercial models, coordinating with internal cross-functional stakeholders, and creating comprehensive product documentation and content.
- Enablement & Training: Deliver and coordinate training and enablement sessions to internal stakeholders to ensure organisational readiness for new and existing BMIT products and services.
- Commercial Operations: Build, update, and maintain the BMIT product catalogue pricing and underlying pricing models to ensure market competitiveness and profitability tracking.
Vendor Management Assistance
- Vendor Onboarding & Compliance: Assist in the evaluation, onboarding, and risk assessment of new vendors, ensuring alignment with BMIT's governance framework and ethical standards.
- Performance Monitoring: Track vendor performance metrics (SLAs, cost benchmarks, service quality) and collaborate with the Head of Product and Vendor Management to address issues or discrepancies
- Relationship Management: Maintain regular communication with strategic vendors to foster positive working relationships; contribute to periodic reviews and joint activities that advance mutual objectives.
- Strategic Partner Programs: Drive and maintain strategic Partner Programs with technology vendors. Collaborate with senior stakeholders across BMIT to cascade vendor news, facilitate technical training, leverage promotions, maximize incentive funding, and coordinate joint partner or marketing events.
- Procurement Coordination: Coordinate day-to-day procurement operations, executing sourcing processes in line with established policies to optimise cost savings and efficiency. Evaluate vendor proposals, and manage purchase requisitions accordingly.
- License & IT Asset Oversight: Maintain a central repository of licensing and IT assets, tracking renewals, usage, and compliance obligations; promptly escalate any issues related to contract terms or non-compliance.
Interdepartmental Liaison
- Central Point of Contact: Act as a primary point of contact and subject matter expert for internal teams on all product- and vendor-related operational matters, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and collaboration across the organisation.
- Internal Communication: Proactively communicate product and vendor updates to relevant internal stakeholders, ensuring sales, technical, and delivery teams are informed and aligned on portfolio changes, new offerings and partner developments.
Analysis & Reporting
- KPI Tracking: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for cost savings, vendor performance, product adoption, and customer satisfaction, compile reports for the Head of Product and Vendor Management and senior leadership.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify gaps or areas of improvement in vendor management and product processes, and recommend enhancements to improve efficiency, quality, and ROI.
Compliance & Risk Mitigation
- Policy Adherence: Ensure that procurement activities, vendor relationships, and product deployments adhere to internal controls, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Risk Assessment: Assist in periodically reviewing and updating risk management approaches, including license audits, data protection measures, and vendor SLAs.
