Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented IT Systems Administrator to join our dynamic Enterprise Solutions team. This role involves working at the system and network administration level to handle day-to-day operational issues, service requests, and project tasks. The successful candidate will gain hands-on experience across a variety of technologies, including Azure, Windows Server, Linux servers, networking equipment, and IT security tools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform system and network administration tasks, including maintaining Azure, Windows Server, Linux servers, firewall rules, telephony extensions, and networking equipment.
- Respond to and resolve technical requests from clients efficiently.
- Manage service desk calls in line with ITIL best practices.
- Support Azure services, including compute instances, Azure Backup, Azure Storage Monitor, and snapshots.
- Troubleshoot, inspect, and repair IT products, networks, software, and cloud solutions.
- Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, including Microsoft Windows, iOS, and macOS.
- Take manual backups of networking equipment as part of disaster recovery procedures.
- Provide remote and onsite technical support to customers.
- Monitor infrastructure and alerts to proactively address issues.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues related to computers, mobile devices, printers, telephony, and networking.
- Participate in on-call rotations and be available for overtime, weekends, and after-hours support when necessary.
- Assist in preventive maintenance for customers’ managed environments, covering systems, networking, security, and cloud services.
- Take ownership of technical issues, demonstrating urgency and sound judgment in prioritizing and resolving problems.
- Document IT environments, troubleshooting steps, and problem resolutions.
- Perform other duties as assigned in accordance with business needs.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Basic knowledge of IT systems administration, networking, and cloud services.
- Familiarity with Windows Server, Linux, and Azure environments.
- Understanding of ITIL processes and best practices is an asset.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
- Availability for on-call duties, overtime, and weekend work as required.
