Roles & Responsibilities
Analytics Delivery & AI Enablement
* Partner with senior leaders to deliver high-impact, AI-enabled analytical solutions within agreed timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
* Lead the design, development, and application of advanced analytics, decision science, and AI/ML solutions supporting US Commercialization across brand strategy, omnichannel engagement, and resource allocation.
* Own analytical workstreams end-to-end, from problem framing and methodological design to insight generation and business recommendations.
* Ensure analytical rigor, scalability, and reusability of solutions while continuously improving team processes and standards.
Stakeholder Partnership & Strategic Support
* Serve as a primary analytics partner to US Commercial stakeholders, Global Analytics, OCx, Marketing, and BIT.
* Proactively shape business questions into analytically tractable problems and influence solution direction.
* Act as a strategic thought partner by helping stakeholders frame decisions, evaluate scenarios, and understand trade-offs and implications.
* Balance and prioritize competing stakeholder demand to ensure alignment with broader commercial and enterprise objectives.
* Confidently engage with senior stakeholders, contributing to strategic discussions and decision forums.
Omnichannel & Commercial Insights
* Lead analytics supporting omnichannel strategies across personal and non-personal promotion, including field force, email, web, paid media, social, and third-party platforms.
* Define and oversee measurement frameworks for reach, engagement, quality engagement, effectiveness, and ROI.
* Drive experimental design, test-and-learn initiatives, and quasi-experimental methodologies to evaluate campaign, content, and channel performance.
* Translate analytical findings into actionable recommendations to optimize commercial investments and execution.
Team Leadership & Capability Building
* Manage, mentor, and develop a team of analysts and senior analysts, including performance feedback, coaching, and career development.
* Provide technical and analytical guidance to ensure high-quality, consistent delivery across the team.
* Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, accountability, and continuous learning.
* Lead workload planning, resourcing, and prioritization to support sustainable delivery and strong team engagement.
Technical Oversight & Governance
* Oversee technical execution across the team, including datasets, dashboards, models, business rules, documentation, and automated pipelines.
* Partner with BIT and data engineering teams to ensure reliable, scalable, and timely data pipelines for analytics and reporting.
* Ensure analytical outputs are reproducible, well-documented, and compliant with governance, validation, and audit standards.
* Support model lifecycle management, including reviews, enhancements, and decommissioning as needed.
Skills & Competencies
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex analytics into clear, compelling business insights.
* Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, including experience working with senior leaders.
* Proven project and people management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
* Strong analytical and strategic problem-solving capabilities, synthesizing insights from multiple data sources.
* Deep understanding of advanced analytics applied statistics, and AI/ML methodologies.
* Leadership mindset with the ability to drive collaboration, accountability, and results.
* Passion for AI-led innovation, analytics maturity, and continuous improvement.
Experience & Qualifications
* BA/BS required; advanced degree preferred, particularly in life sciences, computer science, mathematics, statistics, data science, or engineering.
* 5–7 years of professional experience, including significant experience in advanced analytics, decision science, and/or AI-driven roles.
* Demonstrated experience leading analytics projects and managing or mentoring technical teams in a global enterprise environment.
* Proven success partnering with senior stakeholders, articulating value propositions, challenging assumptions, and managing competing demands.
* Pharmaceutical, biotech, or healthcare industry experience strongly preferred.
* Strong understanding of how data, analytics, and AI can be applied to solve complex commercial business problems.
Technical Skills (Preferred)
* Advanced predictive and statistical analytics using Python and/or R; strong exposure to AI/ML and text analytics (e.g., NLP, clustering, propensity, uplift models, LLM applications).
* Data visualization and dashboarding tools (e.g., R Shiny, Dash, or similar platforms).
* Experience working in collaborative analytics environments (e.g., Databricks, Git-based workflows, SharePoint).
* Strong familiarity with omnichannel, digital marketing, and commercial data sources.

On-site Protocol
BMS has an occupancy structure that determines where an employee is required to conduct their work. This structure includes site-essential, site-by-design, field-based and remote-by-design jobs. The occupancy type that you are assigned is determined by the nature and responsibilities of your role:
Site-essential roles require 100% of shifts onsite at your assigned facility. Site-by-design roles may be eligible for a hybrid work model with at least 50% onsite at your assigned facility. For these roles, onsite presence is considered an essential job function and is critical to collaboration, innovation, productivity, and a positive Company culture. For field-based and remote-by-design roles the ability to physically travel to visit customers, patients or business partners and to attend meetings on behalf of BMS as directed is an essential job function.
