Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Assists with developing, integrating and documenting primary and secondary structural requirements to establish the system design
- →Develops, maintains and modifies basic structural and interior payload system and component designs, using 3-D Computer Aided Design tools and/or other design methods, to provide product definition to other engineering groups, production operations, suppliers and external customers throughout the product lifecycle
- →Performs tests to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications
- →Assists with supplier development, test and production activities and coordination with the supplier to optimize the design and achieve program goals
- →Supports investigation of emerging technologies to develop concepts for future product designs to meet projected requirements
- →Collaborates and performs oversight on projects with partners/suppliers
- →Works under general supervision
- →Possesses and encourages a mindset of Safety and First Pass Quality
- →Exhibits Boeing Values and Behaviors
Requirements
~1 min read- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus on Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace, Aeronautical or Material Sciences)
- 2+ years of engineering experience
- 2+ years of experience using CAD Tools
- Experience with aircraft structural design
- 2+ years of working and collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams to solve technical problems
- 1+ years of experience with design of composite material systems
- 1+ years of aerospace engineering experience
- Experience with CATIA and ENOVIA
- Prior experience with manufacturing/production systems
