Vice President, Field Operations

Boingo seeks a VP of Field Operations with a background in operations management within the wireless industry – specifically indoor and outdoor RF distribution systems.  Responsible for managing the planning, installation, launch, and operation of large-scale DAS, WLAN, and similar systems and networks. The VP of CS Ops ensures projects and programs are delivered within budget and on schedule.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with Boingo leadership team to establish short and long-term revenue and profitability goals
• Collaborate cross-functionally (engineering, accounting, finance, legal, HR, marketing, etc.) within Boingo to prepare project/program plans that contribute to the achievement of Boingo’s goals, and to evolve contingency plans as necessary
• Manage a team of regional project and program managers, field engineers, field technicians, and engineers
• Develop and maintain strong working relationships in each region with Boingo clients (Carriers and Venue) as required to ensure projects go smoothly and meet expectations
• Ensure that the designs prepared by Boingo’s engineers are in alignment with the expectations of Boingo’s executives, specifically cost and schedule, and clients (Carriers and Venues)
• Oversee financial management and accountability for assigned region(s) to track use of company’s expense against P&L statement
• Develop next level leaders through mentoring, assigning accountabilities, setting objectives, establishing priorities and monitoring and evaluating results
• Successfully manage and prioritize business needs using strategic planning techniques and prioritization of competing opportunities
• Prepare and present executive-level operations-related material for SVP- and C-Level executives
• Perform other duties/projects as requested by senior management.
