Role Description

As a member of our Banquet team, you are always on stage. Brasada is home to the best wedding venue in Central Oregon, and we ensure that our level of service for those life defining events matches those expectations. The success of those events, and the numerous others that our events team hosts, is dependent on the Banquet team to have the attention to detail required for flawless execution.

To be successful in this position, you must enjoy being an integral part of special events. Your responsibilities from the setup, to the execution, to the close of one event and the preparation of the next will help provide truly memorable experiences for those involved. Your attention to detail will need to be unmatched and relentless. You thrive in a team environment and are able to take direction and carry it out with exact accuracy. You take pride in the services you provide and feel a great sense of accomplishment when you receive the feedback from your guests that you just assisted with the "best event ever."

General Responsibilities

  • Review Banquet Event Orders (BEO's) at the beginning of each shift to ensure rooms are set as contracted. Confirm and setup A/V equipment needs to contract for the event.
  • Prepare rooms for use; adjusting lights, sound volumes, and temperature as needed for before guests arrive.
  • Be in communication with the lead catering staff regarding any special needs.
  • Assist in ensuring that the events are on time. Make adjustments as needed and relay that information to the appropriate personnel.
  • Pass any information that is needed to the next staff member on duty.
  • Ensure proper use, storage and maintenance of all A/V and meeting room equipment. Ensure there is proper back up in the event that any equipment is not properly functioning.
  • Maintain high standards of safety and cleanliness in all areas and workspaces.
  • Communicate any areas of need, problems, and concerns from guest to Banquet Manager.
  • Keep inventory of all Conference Center equipment in order and stored in their appropriate areas.
  • Work with Guest Services to transport any and all items needed for an outdoor event not within the Conference Center and tent areas.
  • Provide all group guests with a lasting experience of the resort.
  • Maintaining proper dining experience, delivering items, fulfilling customer needs, removing courses, replenishing utensils, refilling glasses.
  • Delivering Alcoholic and Non alcoholic drinks for service to your customers table.
  • Properly open and pour wine at the tableside.
  • Performing basic cleaning tasks as needed or directed by supervisor.
  • Greet all guests and owners warmly with an appropriate greeting.
  • Adhere to grooming and appearance standards consistently.
  • Understand and communicate products and services available at the resort.
  • Perform additional responsibilities and duties as assigned.

Skills/Traits

  • 6 months banquet bartending experience preferred.
  • Excellent oral communication skills required.
  • Positive interpersonal skills required.
  • Frequently lifts/carries up to 25 lbs
  • Occasionally lifts/carries up to 100 lbs
  • Ability to obtain Food Handlers Card within 30 days of hire (cost eligible for reimbursement)
  • OLCC Certification
