Brayman Construction Corporation is hiring a Reporting Manager - Financial Reporting & Consolidation in Saxonburg, PA. The Reporting Manager leads the Financial Reporting and Consolidation function, ensuring the accuracy, timeliness, and technical rigor of the company's financial statements across a complex multi-entity structure.

Reporting to the Director, this role owns the process and timing of consolidated financial statement preparation for the operating consolidated group (including proportionate consolidation of joint ventures) and the real estate consolidated group, as well as standalone entity financial reporting for seven operating standalone entities and 12 special-purpose entities (approximately 40 entities in total).

Additionally, this role will be responsible for external audit deliverable production, technical accounting research and memo preparation, and external reporting deliverables.

This is a technical, deadline-driven role that serves as the working-level owner of external-facing financial information.


Consolidated Financial Statement Preparation

  • Own the preparation of quarterly and annual consolidated financial statements for both the operating consolidated group (three entities plus proportionate consolidation of multiple joint ventures) and the real estate consolidated group (12 entities)
  • Prepare consolidation workpapers, including intercompany eliminations, non-controlling interest calculations (if applicable), and proportionate consolidation entries for joint ventures
  • Ensure timely and accurate compilation of consolidated balance sheet, income statement, statement of cash flows, and statement of equity in accordance with GAAP

Standalone Entity Financial Statement Preparation

  • Oversee the preparation of standalone financial statements for the seven operating standalone entities and the 12 special-purpose entities
  • Ensure standalone reporting complies with any lender-mandated, partner-mandated, or regulatory requirements applicable to individual entities

External Audit

  • Serve as the primary working-level owner of external audit deliverables across all engagements
  • Manage the preparation and delivery of audit workpapers and requests
  • Own the preparation of financial statement footnote disclosures, including debt, leases, joint ventures, related-party transactions, and contingencies

External Reporting

  • Own the preparation of reporting packages, including required financial statements, covenant compliance calculations, and supporting schedules.
  • Fulfill federal and state prequalification requirements for multiple operating entities

Technical Accounting

  • Lead technical accounting research on complex or novel transactions and prepare accounting memos

Required Skills / Abilities

  • Deep command of GAAP financial reporting, financial statement preparation, and footnote disclosure standards.
  • Strong technical accounting research skills and ability to prepare defensible position papers
  • Working knowledge of construction industry, including percentage-of-completion revenue recognition and construction joint venture accounting including proportionate consolidation
  • Highly detail-oriented with a strong sense of ownership and accountability for financial reporting accuracy
  • Strong project management skills
  • High degree of integrity and discretion in handling confidential financial information
  • Advanced proficiency with Excel, construction ERP systems (Viewpoint Vista, Spreadsheet Server, Sage FAS)

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
  • CPA preferred; CCIFP a plus
  • Minimum of 8 years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 3 years in a supervisory or management role
  • Prior public accounting experience (Big 4 or large regional firm) strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated experience with multi-entity consolidation, including intercompany eliminations and complex ownership structures
  • Experience with joint venture accounting including proportionate consolidation preferred
  • Experience preparing consolidated financial statements and footnote disclosures in accordance with GAAP
  • Experience managing external audit deliverables for multi-entity organizations

SAFETY SENSITIVE POSITION

This is a Safety Sensitive Position requiring work on project sites, including federal projects. Project sites contain various safety hazards associated with heavy construction. This position may require working at heights, around heavy equipment, and under constantly changing circumstances. This position will be subject to more stringent drug testing and compliance policies associated with our status as a Federal Contractor.
