The Role
Own the end-to-end SAP SuccessFactors service lifecycle, ensuring the platform delivers secure, reliable and business-aligned capabilities supporting the British Council’s People Strategy and Digital Engagement Strategy. Accountable for the SuccessFactors roadmap, operational excellence, continual service improvement, supplier performance, governance, release management and adoption of new capabilities. Partner with HR, Digital & Technology and managed service providers to maximise business value while maintaining compliance and service performance. Evaluate emerging SAP innovations including SAP Business AI where they deliver measurable value.
Operate within Digital & Technology Operations as the service owner for SuccessFactors. Work with HR, suppliers and global stakeholders to ensure the platform supports evolving business needs while maintaining operational resilience, security, compliance and continual improvement
Main responsibilities
* Own the end-to-end SuccessFactors service lifecycle.
* Develop and deliver the SuccessFactors roadmap aligned to business priorities.
* Lead managed service providers and supplier governance.
* Drive continual service improvement using ITIL principles.
* Own SLAs, OLAs, KPIs and service reporting.
* Lead stakeholder engagement across HR and Digital & Technology.
* Ensure effective change, release, risk and service transition management.
* Evaluate and adopt SAP innovations, including Business AI where appropriate.
* Manage budgets, commercial performance and contracts.
* Lead major incident governance and business continuity planning

Role specific knowledge and experience
Minimum/essential
* 12–15+ years’ experience in Enterprise HR Technology.
* Significant experience leading SAP SuccessFactors services in a complex global organisation.
* Experience owning SuccessFactors service lifecycle and roadmap.
* Strong supplier and managed service governance experience.
* Experience driving continual service improvement.
* Strong understanding of SuccessFactors modules, integrations and release management.
* Experience managing SLAs, OLAs, KPIs and operational reporting.
* Experience managing major incidents and service transition.
* Experience engaging senior HR and Technology stakeholders
Desirable
* Experience with SAP Business AI (Joule).
* SAP Integration Suite/CPI experience.
* HR SaaS platform experience.
* Budget and commercial management.
Language Requirements
* The British Council systems and global processes operate in English. Written and verbal proficiency in English is required”.
Education
Minimum / essential
* Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, HR, Business or equivalent experience.
Desirable
* Master’s degree (MBA or Information Systems).

* Prince2 Foundation (or equivalent
