BTIG APAC is seeking a senior trading technology specialist at VP level for a permanent position based in Hong Kong. The role sits within the APAC Technology team spanning Hong Kong, Singapore, and Australia. The successful candidate will combine deep FIX and Fidessa expertise with strong business analysis and project coordination skills, working directly with traders, FIX clients, and operations colleagues to deliver reliable BAU support and meaningful platform enhancements.

The role operates within a sprint-based delivery model using JIRA and will contribute to planning and managing the team's book of work. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with the Sydney-based BAU lead and draw on wider APAC team capacity as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage end-to-end FIX connectivity for clients and exchange/venue-side connections, including drop copy and gateways across Fidessa and Broadridge
  • Provide senior-level support for cash equities trading activity, serving as an escalation point for trading desk and FIX client issues
  • Manage market data feeds ensuring reliability and timely resolution of data issues
  • Capture, specify, and prioritize business and technology requirements, acting as a BA resource between the trading desk and technology teams
  • Plan and coordinate BAU change projects and platform enhancements using JIRA in a sprint-based workflow
  • Operate across APAC markets: trading and regulatory considerations across Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Singapore, Hong Kong, and Korea, Taiwan
  • Evaluate, adopt, and advocate for AI tooling where it improves support quality, incident resolution speed, or operational efficiency.

Required Skills:

  • 8 to 10+ years of experience in front office trading technology support within cash equities
  • Deep expertise in Fidessa - configuration, FIX session management, troubleshooting, and user support
  • Strong FIX protocol knowledge across both client-facing and exchange/venue-side connectivity
  • Experience with Broadridge in a trading technology context
  • Hands-on experience configuring UL COMS rules in the Broadridge ITiviti OMS is an advantage
  • Familiarity with market data platforms
  • Business analysis skills - able to elicit, document, and clearly specify requirements
  • Comfortable working within a JIRA-driven, sprint-based team without requiring a formal agile framework
  • Solid understanding of APAC cash equities markets, microstructure, and operational norms
  • A curious mindset with demonstrated interest in applying emerging tools, including AI, to day-to-day technology and support work.
  • Must be authorized to work in Hong Kong.
  • Resumes must be included with your application in order to be considered.
  • No phone calls please, you will be contacted within two weeks if your application is successful.
