About the Role
~1 min readWe are looking for a visionary VP of Operations to serve as the operational architect for BTSE Indonesia. In this mission-critical role, you will bridge global infrastructure with local excellence, overseeing everything from regulatory whitelisting and KYC workflows to data-driven exchange monitoring.
Design, implement, and continuously optimize Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) across all departments to ensure scalability.
Lead and manage the end-to-end KYC/AML workflow, ensuring a frictionless user experience while maintaining rigorous regulatory standards.
Manage and optimize deposit/withdrawal flows, ensuring speed, security, and reconciliation accuracy.
Lead procurement and manage relationships with external vendors (e.g., liquidity providers, KYC/AML software, cloud services).
Monitoring policy: Create frameworks that monitors our data to make sure every policy is followed
Data Oversight: Own & understand all data; ensure data integrity, reporting accuracy, and use operational metrics to drive decision-making.
Customer Success Monitoring: Oversee CS performance metrics to ensure user issues are resolved and systemic bugs are reported back to product teams.
Budget Management: Strategic ownership of the operations budget, optimizing burn rate while ensuring the exchange has the resources to scale.
Act as a liaison between the local & global
Looking and maintaining the relationship with vendors
8+ years of operations leadership experience, with at least 4+ years specifically within a Crypto Exchange or high-growth Fintech/Banking/Tech/Ecommerce Industry.
Proven track record of building and documenting Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) from the ground up in a fast-scaled environment.
Experience building or managing Customer Success monitoring systems to ensure high-quality user support and rapid incident response.
Skilled in selecting, onboarding, and managing third-party Vendors & Procurement (e.g., KYC providers, custody solutions, and liquidity partners).
Deep understanding of end-to-end crypto exchange business workflow and the specific fraud risks associated with crypto deposit/withdrawal flows.
Practical experience with SQL or Business Intelligence tools.
Familiarity with blockchain explorers and wallet infrastructure.
