Job Overview

The Aseptic Production Supervisor plays a key role in executing assigned Aseptic production tasks. This includes being responsible for: (i) the performance of aseptic production and personnel across all shifts; and (ii) generating shift reports and improvement plans.

Key Responsibilities

  • Meets all production operational plans to ensure goals and efficiency requirements are met.
  • Monitor conditions that have or will adversely affect production or customer satisfaction, including interruption of plant utility services and bring to the attention of senior shift leadership.
  • Monitor the status of production lines – across all shifts – and assess current versus planned production.
  • Use Human Machine Interface (HMI) to monitor production and processing activity.  Assess current status versus the planned status. Investigate and take action to remedy deviations from plan as necessary.
  • Set up, operate filling, cooler, and packaging equipment to assist in production as needed.
  • Ensure all required documentation is thoroughly completed, sign off and properly filled out/legible in a timely and compliant manner.
  • Notify others of mechanical malfunctions to increase productivity and equipment capabilities and identifies areas where operators can assist in resolving concerns. Coordinate maintenance activities with assigned maintenance personnel, as necessary.
  • Responsible for complying with GMP’s, SOP’s, corporate and/or plant policies, rules, and regulations.  Address any issues of non-compliance and report them to senior shift leadership.
  • Communicates effectively between shifts and other departments – verbally and in writing.
  • Covers breaks, lunches and other staffing needs assigned by their supervisor/manager.
  • Compliant with all legal requirements concerning dairy processing and safety reports concerns appropriately.
  • Oversees training of production personnel on production equipment, protocol, and systems.
  • Audit the work of production personnel to ensure accuracy, quality and work completed in a timely fashion.
  • Assist in interviewing and selection process of production team; responsible for timely and engaging performance evaluations, administering appropriate corrective actions as pre-approved by HR. Direct work of all assigned production personnel. Furnish feedback to front line operators throughout shift.
  • Assist management with employee development plans – documentation and administration, to ensure a department that sustains a customer focus, flexibility, and strong business acumen. Manage performance plans to include employee assignments, expectations, and goals.
  • Promotes and supports an environment of continuous improvement.
  • Supervise production team by leading by example to gain trust and integrity.  Handle employee inquires and solve problems while maintain confidentiality

 Min. Qualifications

  • GED or High School Diploma is required, associate or bachelor’s degree in related field preferred.
  • 3+ years direct manufacturing experience required, direct dairy industry experience highly preferred.
  • Better Process Control School (BPCS) certificate required.
  • Mechanical skills relevant to the assigned equipment
