Responsibilities
~2 min readProgram Leadership & Execution
•Own end-to-end program delivery for fixed wireless broadband products, including radios, antennas, baseband, embedded software, and cloud/network management components
•Drive cross-functional execution across HW, FW, SW, RF, Manufacturing, QA, and Operations teams
•Develop and maintain program plans, schedules, dependencies, risks, and mitigations from concept through production launch
•Lead program reviews, engineering milestones, and executive readouts
Hardware & Software Coordination
•Manage tightly coupled HW/SW development cycles, including:
oPCB, RF, thermal, mechanical, and system integration
oEmbedded firmware, OS, drivers, and application software
•Ensure readiness at key development gates (EVT/DVT/PVT or equivalent)
•Track HW-SW interface definitions, bring-up plans, and integration risks
•Align lab testing, field trials, certification, and regulatory timelines
Financial & Budget Management
•Own program budgets, including:
oNRE (Hardware and Software)
oPrototyping, lab equipment, and testing costs
oVendor and contract engineering spend
•Build and maintain Excel-based models for budgets, forecasts, burn rates, and variance analysis
•Partner with Finance to support forecasting, accruals, and cost-controls
•Identify opportunities to optimize costs without compromising quality or schedule
Tools, Metrics & Reporting
•Create and maintain Excel dashboards for:
oSchedule tracking
oBudget vs. actuals
oResource allocation
oRisk and issue tracking
•Use program management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, MS Project, Smartsheet) to track execution
•Establish and report on KPIs such as schedule adherence, cost variance, and readiness metrics
Risk Management & Communications
•Proactively identify technical, schedule, supply chain, and budget risks
•Drive structured decision-making and clear tradeoff discussions
•Communicate status clearly to engineering teams and senior leadership
•Escalate issues with data-backed recommendations
Required Qualifications
•Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Computer, Systems, or related field)
•7+ years of technical program or project management experience in HW/SW product development
•Hands-on experience managing programs involving telecom or networking hardware and software
•Strong understanding of HW-SW co-development lifecycles
•Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel:
oBudget tracking
oForecasting
oPivot tables, formulas, and data analysis
•Proven experience owning and managing program budgets
•Excellent cross-functional communication and stakeholder management skills
