Director, IT Program Management (Enterprise Infrastructure PMO)

The PMO drives business outcomes by transforming strategic vision into execution through robust program governance, modern tools, and proactive change leadership. This function mobilizes high-performing project teams, aligns resource capacity to strategic priorities, and establishes clear accountability for deliverables. As financial and operational stewards, this job family optimizes project investments, proactively mitigates risks, and ensures rigorous adherence to quality standards while leveraging strategic partnerships and holding vendors accountable to ensure project success is achieved and outcomes are realized.

The Director, IT Program Management (Enterprise Infrastructure PMO) leads some of the organization’s most visible, complex, and strategically important technology and business initiatives. This Director operates at the intersection of strategy and execution, connecting work across organizational boundaries, anticipating impacts others may miss, and mobilizing the right teams, leaders, and partners to deliver successful outcomes.

The Director, IT Program Management (Enterprise Infrastructure PMO) is accountable for driving initiative outcomes, ensuring decisions are made, obstacles are removed, and programs remain aligned with strategic objectives. This is a highly visible role for a strategic leader who thrives in ambiguity, builds structure where it does not exist, and acts with urgency and ownership. The ideal candidate is a systems thinker who looks beyond individual projects, proactively identifies dependencies and risks, and drives results through influence rather than direct authority.

Location - Nationwide, fully remote (with preference towards candidates in ET/CT, willing and able to travel to our global HQ in Central Ohio 5-10%)

• →Lead complex, enterprise-critical initiatives with significant organizational impact and executive visibility.
• →Take end-to-end ownership of initiative health and outcomes, driving decisions, accountability, and forward momentum.
• →Proactively orchestrate work across business and technology organizations, identifying dependencies, risks, and stakeholder needs before they become delivery challenges.
• →Establish structure, clarity, and accountability when processes, ownership, or direction are evolving.
• →Provide leadership across assigned initiatives, directing and influencing project and program managers responsible for individual workstreams.
• →Influence functional leaders, delivery teams, and external partners to drive decisions, remove obstacles, and achieve desired outcomes.
• →Bring forward actionable recommendations and solutions rather than simply reporting issues or escalating problems.
• →Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, communicating initiative health, risks, decisions, and opportunities with clarity and confidence.
• →Strengthen how strategic initiatives are managed and delivered by establishing sustainable practices that improve execution over time.

• Ideally targeting individuals with 10+ years of experience leading complex technology programs, portfolios, or strategic initiatives (including tangible results delivering large-scale transformation, digital, emerging technology, or AI-enabled initiatives).
• Demonstrated ability to identify opportunities, anticipate challenges, and take decisive action in complex and evolving environments.
• Proven success influencing outcomes and establishing accountability across highly matrixed organizations without direct authority.
• Strong business, financial, and operational acumen.
• Significant experience working with senior executives and leading initiatives with substantial organizational visibility.
• Exceptional communication, facilitation, negotiation, and executive presentation skills.
• Experience managing strategic vendor, consulting partner, and contractual relationships.
• Experience leading initiatives with enterprise-wide impact and competing organizational priorities, highly preferred.
• Experience building or evolving operating models, governance structures, or delivery practices - preferred.
• Working knowledge of AI, emerging technologies, and the organizational considerations associated with their implementation.
• Experience with enterprise portfolio management solutions such as Planview, preferred.
• PMP, PgMP, or similar project and program management certifications preferred.
