This is not a maintenance role-this is a build, transform, and lead mandate.

The Director of AI & Data will serve as the enterprise owner of our AI and data ecosystem, responsible for:

  • Setting strategy and governance
  • Driving execution and adoption
  • Delivering measurable business outcomes

You will partner directly with executive leadership and act as a force multiplier across the organization, transforming raw data into actionable insights and AI-powered capabilities.

This role is ideal for a leader who thrives in high-ownership, high-visibility environments where they can shape the future-not just operate within it.

Responsibilities

  • Own and administer the organization's AI productivity stack (LLMs, automation tools, copilots)
  • Identify, prioritize, and deploy high-impact AI use cases (clinical, financial, HR, operations)
  • Develop governance frameworks for responsible AI usage, data privacy, and HIPAA compliance
  • Lead pilot-to-production lifecycle for emerging technologies
  • Partner with business leaders to define success metrics and adoption KPIs
  • Cloud data warehouse ownership (architecture, performance, cost optimization)
  • ETL/ELT pipeline orchestration, monitoring, and expansion
  • Data modeling, transformation, and integration across systems
  • Data lifecycle management and technical documentation
  • Own enterprise BI tools, dashboards, and reporting standards
  • Deliver critical reporting for:
    • Finance & revenue cycle
    • Operations
    • Value-Based Care programs
  • Automate manual reporting through pipelines and dashboarding
  • Establish enterprise KPI definitions and governance standards
  • Define data ownership, lineage, and integrity standards
  • Establish quality monitoring and issue resolution processes
  • Enforce data access controls and role-based permissions
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA and regulatory requirements
  • Partner with application teams to improve upstream data quality
  1. Leadership, Team Building & Capability Development

You will build and lead a high-performing data organization.

  • Presenting data and AI strategy, roadmaps, and performance updates
  • Translating technical concepts into clear business value
  • Maintaining a prioritized, impact-driven analytics backlog
  • Partnering cross-functionally (Finance, Operations, Clinical, Revenue Cycle)

You will architect and operationalize Care Advantage's AI vision across all business functions.

  • Enterprise-wide AI use cases delivering measurable ROI
  • Responsible AI practices embedded in workflows
  • Scalable AI adoption across departments

You will fully own the enterprise data platform, ensuring it is reliable, scalable, and aligned to business needs.

  • Near real-time access to trusted data
  • Reduced data latency and improved data accuracy
  • Scalable architecture supporting growth and acquisitions

 

You will lead the transformation from reactive reporting → proactive, insight-driven decisioning.

  1. Data Governance, Quality & Compliance

You will implement a mature data governance framework across all systems.

  • Direct management of Data Engineering and BI resources
  • Hiring, onboarding, and scaling the team as maturity grows
  • Establishing development plans and performance expectations
  • Reducing reliance on external vendors while building internal capability
  • Create a culture of ownership, accountability, and innovation
  • Develop a team that is both technically strong and business-aligned
  1. Executive Partnership & Strategic Influence

You will act as a trusted advisor across the C-suite and senior leadership.

Requirements

At Care Advantage, our culture is built on iCARE-and we expect our leaders to embody these principles daily:

  • 7–10+ years in data engineering, analytics, or BI leadership roles
  • 3+ years in formal people leadership roles
  • Proven experience owning:
    • Cloud data platforms (Snowflake strongly preferred)
    • ETL/ELT orchestration tools (Matillion, ADF, Fivetran, or similar)
    • BI platforms (Tableau, Power BI, Looker)
  • Experience delivering end-to-end data or AI initiatives with measurable impact
  • Demonstrated ability to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions

Nice to Have

  • Experience implementing AI tools or LLM-based solutions at scale
  • Healthcare, home health, or regulated data environment experience
  • Knowledge of:
    • Revenue cycle data
    • Value-based care reporting
    • Multi-system data ecosystems
  • Master's degree in Data Science, Analytics, Computer Science, or related field

This role will be evaluated on measurable outcomes, including:

  • AI adoption rates and business impact
  • Data platform uptime, performance, and cost efficiency
  • Reduction in manual reporting processes
  • Data quality and governance compliance
  • Stakeholder satisfaction and adoption of analytics tools
  • Delivery against roadmap timelines and priorities

You operate with transparency, ethical decision-making, and accountability-especially when handling sensitive data and AI systems.

You understand that healthcare is about people first-ensuring technology enhances, not replaces, human care.

You take ownership of outcomes, drive execution, and deliver on commitments with urgency and precision.

You foster collaboration, value diverse perspectives, and communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.

You continuously improve systems, processes, and teams-raising the standard for data and AI maturity across the enterprise.
