Leading the development of innovative financial products and services that promote economic empowerment and resilience among vulnerable communities. Provide expert guidance on financial inclusion best practices, including microfinance, digital finance, savings mobilization, and access to credit, ensuring that interventions are tailored to the needs of target populations. Oversee the planning, implementation, and monitoring of financial inclusion projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards. Lead capacity-building efforts aimed at strengthening the skills and knowledge of staff, partners, and community stakeholders in financial inclusion principles and practices. Cultivate strategic partnerships with governments, financial institutions, NGOs, and other stakeholders to leverage resources, expertise, and networks for advancing financial inclusion initiatives. Conducting market assessments and research to identify barriers to financial access and develop targeted interventions to address them. Building the capacity of local partners and stakeholders to deliver sustainable financial services and support the growth of inclusive financial ecosystems. Stay abreast of emerging trends, research findings, and innovations in the field of financial inclusion, and integrate relevant insights into program design and implementation. Develop robust monitoring and evaluation frameworks to track the impact of financial inclusion interventions, and use data-driven insights to indecision-making and continuous improvement. Engage in advocacy efforts to promote policies and regulations that support inclusive financial systems and address barriers to access for marginalized populations. Requirements Core Competencies: Strategic thinking and planning Leadership and team management Stakeholder engagement and partnership development Program design, implementation, and monitoring Financial analysis and risk management Innovation and creativity in problem-solving Cross-cultural communication and collaboration Results orientation and impact measurement Technical Competencies: Expertise in financial inclusion principles and practices Knowledge of microfinance, digital finance, and mobile banking technologies Familiarity with humanitarian principles and operational contexts Understanding of regulatory frameworks and policy environments related to financial services Experience in market research, needs assessment, and data analysis Proficiency in project management and grant administration Qualifications/Requirements: Master's degree in finance, economics, business administration, or a related field. A Ph.D. would be an advantage. Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in financial inclusion, microfinance, International Development or related fields, preferably with an international NGO or development agency. Proven track record of designing, implementing, and evaluating financial inclusion programs in diverse geographic contexts. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and develop innovative solutions to complex challenges. Excellent project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines. Demonstrated leadership abilities, with experience in building and leading high-performing teams. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels. Commitment to the principles of social justice, equity, and inclusion. Fluency in English; proficiency in other languages would be an asset.
