Drive organizational change processes to embed gender equality and inclusion principles into all aspects of operations, policies, and practices. Lead advocacy efforts to influence policies, legislation, and practices that promote gender equality and social inclusion at local, national, and international levels. Engage with government agencies, civil society organizations, and other stakeholders to advance gender-responsive policies and programs. Oversee the development, implementation, and evaluation of gender-sensitive programs and projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and priorities. Provide technical guidance and support to program teams to ensure the effective integration of gender considerations into program design, implementation, and monitoring. Cultivate strategic partnerships and collaborations with government agencies, NGOs, donors, and other stakeholders to leverage resources, expertise, and support for gender and inclusion initiatives. Represent the organization in relevant forums, conferences, and networks, advocating for gender equality, women's rights, and social justice. Lead research initiatives and knowledge generation activities on gender and inclusion issues, contributing to evidence-based policy and programming. Publish research findings, policy briefs, and academic papers, and disseminate knowledge to inform decision-making and practice in the field. Design and deliver capacity-building workshops, trainings, and learning initiatives on gender equality, women's empowerment, and social inclusion for staff, partners, and stakeholders. Provide mentorship, coaching, and technical support to junior staff members and partners to enhance their understanding and application of gender and inclusion principles. Develop and implement gender-sensitive MEL frameworks, methodologies, and tools to track progress, measure impact, and assess outcomes of gender and inclusion interventions. Analyze and synthesize MEL data to identify lessons learned, best practices, and areas for improvement, and use findings to inform programmatic adjustments and strategic decision-making. Lead resource mobilization efforts by developing funding proposals, donor reports, and communication materials to secure financial resources for gender and inclusion programming. Cultivate donor relationships, negotiate funding agreements, and ensure compliance with donor requirements and reporting obligations. Develop and implement communication strategies and campaigns to raise awareness, mobilize support, and advocate for gender equality and social inclusion. Requirements Core Competencies: Strategic Leadership Policy Advocacy Program Development and Management Partnership Building Research and Analysis Capacity Building and Training Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) Resource Mobilization Strategic Communication Cross-Cultural Competence Team Leadership Ethical Practice Technical Competencies: Knowledge of gender, diversity concepts, equity, and inclusion principles. Gender programs and policies. Advocacy and Sensitization Inclusive Leadership Knowledge of Legal Frameworks on gender, equity and inclusion Conflict resolution and mediation Data collection and analysis Training and facilitation skills Partnership and Networking Strategic thinking Leader Qualifications/Requirements: A Master's degree in Gender Studies, International Development, Social Work, Public Policy, or a closely related field is preferred Over 8 years of relevant experience. Experience in leading and managing teams, projects, and budgets related to GEI initiatives is highly sought after Strong written and verbal communication skills, with keen attention to detail. The ability to develop and implement a comprehensive GEI strategy that aligns with the organization's overall mission and goals. In-depth knowledge of gender equality concepts, theories, and best practices. Expertise in conducting gender analyses, developing gender mainstreaming strategies, and monitoring and evaluating GEI programs. Proficiency in creating engaging content tailored for different platforms and audiences. Proven skills in project design, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of complex GEI programs. Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines while maintaining a high level of quality. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and content creation tools. Advanced knowledge of MEL principles and practices for effectively measuring the impact of GEI programs. The ability to identify funding opportunities, write compelling proposals, and secure resources to support GEI initiatives. Fluency in a language relevant to the organization's area of operation can be a valuable asset.
