Twelve Oaks Recovery Center is seeking a Director of Nursing (RN) to lead clinical operations across detox and residential programs. This is a high-impact leadership role with strong corporate support, a collaborative team, and the opportunity to shape care delivery in a respected, mission-driven environment.

 

As Director of Nursing, you will lead nursing operations across detox and residential levels of care, ensuring safe, compliant, and patient‑centered clinical services. You’ll play a key role in fostering a positive culture, supporting staff development, and maintaining the highest standards of care.

 

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic and day‑to‑day leadership for all nursing operations
  • Oversee clinical quality, patient safety, and performance improvement initiatives
  • Support individualized treatment planning and continuity of care
  • Collaborate closely with medical, clinical, and behavioral health leadership
  • Mentor, coach, and develop nursing staff and frontline leaders
  • Ensure compliance with state, federal, and facility regulatory standards

You’ll have autonomy to lead at the facility level while benefiting from the strength and resources of Acadia Healthcare, the nation’s largest stand‑alone behavioral healthcare provider:

  • Corporate Nurse Executive Support for regulatory guidance and clinical best practices
  • Corporate Recruiting Partnership to help build and retain a strong, stable nursing team

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher strongly preferred.
  • Current registered nursing license in State of facility required
  • 6 + years’ experience as a registered nurse preferred
  • 3 years of registered nursing experience required.
  • Two years of experience in behavioral health as a Registered Nurse preferred.
  • One year experience in behavioral health/psychiatric/addiction recovery environment (inpatient or outpatient) or relatable experience required
  • Prior DON or Nurse Manager experience preferred
  • Two years of progressive leadership or management experience required
