Adastra is seeking an experienced Business Systems Analyst with strong expertise in Wealth Management and Capital Markets technology and operations. In this role, you will partner with business stakeholders, technology teams, and cross-functional delivery groups to support the design, implementation, and optimization of advisor-led Wealth platforms, investment workflows, and data integration solutions.
The ideal candidate combines strong business analysis capabilities with a deep understanding of Wealth Management operations, investment products, and technology delivery. This individual will play a key role in translating complex business requirements into scalable, compliant, and effective technology solutions within a highly regulated environment.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Gather, analyze, and document business, functional, and system requirements for Wealth Management and Capital Markets platforms
- →Partner with business stakeholders to identify process improvements and technology solutions that drive operational efficiency
- →Translate business requirements into functional specifications, business rules, controls, and exception-handling processes
- →Collaborate with Development, QA, and Business teams throughout the project delivery lifecycle
- →Support solution design, system integration, testing, implementation, and post-production stabilization activities
- →Perform data analysis and validation to support business decisions, reporting, and system enhancements
- →Analyze system impacts across interconnected applications and platforms
- →Collaborate with technology, governance, risk, compliance, and vendor teams to ensure solutions align with business and regulatory requirements
- →Support integrations involving advisor platforms, trading systems, portfolio management solutions, and investment data ecosystems
- →Document current and future-state business processes, workflows, and requirements
- →Facilitate workshops, stakeholder meetings, and requirements-gathering sessions
- →Identify risks, dependencies, and gaps while recommending effective solutions
Requirements
~1 min read- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Proven experience as a Business Systems Analyst within Banking or Financial Services environments
- Strong experience supporting Wealth Management, Private Wealth, Investment Advisory, or Capital Markets functions
- Demonstrated experience gathering, analyzing, and documenting complex business and system requirements
- Advanced SQL skills for data analysis, validation, reconciliation, and troubleshooting
- Experience interpreting and troubleshooting XML request and response messages
- Knowledge of API integrations and system integration concepts
- Experience supporting integrations across trading, portfolio management, and downstream operational platforms
- Experience working across business, development, and QA teams within structured delivery environments
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, documentation, and stakeholder management skills
- Experience working within Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery methodologies
- Strong understanding of Wealth Management and Capital Markets business models
- Knowledge of investment products including mutual funds, equities, and fixed income securities
- Experience with trade lifecycle processes, reconciliations, settlements, and post-trade operations
- Familiarity with advisor workflows, client onboarding, and suitability requirements
Nice to Have

- Familiarity with investment data platforms and market data integrations
- Exposure to regulatory and compliance requirements impacting Wealth Management and Capital Markets
