About the Role
~1 min readThis is a fixed-term maternity leave cover for our Health Coach Manager - a clinical leadership role. This is a role for a clinician who leads: someone who thrives at the intersection of clinical excellence, coaching quality, and team performance, and who wants to shape what great health coaching looks like at Australia’s leading telehealth company.
You’ll step into an exciting moment. We’re mid-redesign of how we deliver coaching across our expanding condition scope, with a strong operational foundation already in place and an established team ready to be led. You’ll hold the team accountable to high standards, shape our nutrition position across weight management and emerging conditions, and serve as the nutrition voice in cross-functional decisions.
- Lead and performance manage a remote team of dietitians, setting clear expectations and holding the team to them
- Run regular 1:1s and group sessions focused on coaching quality, patient outcomes, and professional development
- Build a team culture of ownership: coaches drive their own development, and you’ll create the structure that makes that possible
- Lead leaders where relevant; align stakeholders and drive accountability across the coaching function
- Own the clinical standards for how coaching is delivered across the patient journey - defining the model across teams and setting quality benchmarks
- Conduct coaching audits and structured quality reviews using call rubrics and patient feedback; drive continuous improvement across coaching journeys
- Own governance frameworks and manage systemic risk across health coaching, responsible for risk performance and compliance
- Lead upskilling initiatives to enable high quality care across existing and emerging conditions
- Define how we coach across new conditions entering our platform, ensuring our approach is evidence-based and scalable
- Contribute to patient-facing content, messaging guides, and care frameworks that translate clinical best practice into coaching at scale
- Design scalable systems and optimise delivery across teams; connect service data to business outcomes to inform strategy
- Drive cross-team innovation and scale successful initiatives across the coaching function
- Work closely with product and patient operation teams to inform how the platform supports patient outcomes
- Represent the nutrition and dietetic voice in cross-functional decisions at a critical period of service expansion
- Use patient satisfaction data (NPS, feedback, retention metrics) as the primary lens for evaluating team and service performance
- Champion a coaching model that prioritises depth of relationship over volume of interaction
- Clinically grounded: Accredited Practising Dietitan (essential), with strong grounding in medicated weight management
- A proven clinical leader: You’ve managed or mentored a clinical team and can move from leading people to owning service performance and scalability. Multi-team or functional leadership experience is strongly preferred.
- Quality and safety fluent: Skilled in coaching audits, quality review, and governance. You turn performance gaps into systems improvements, not just individual feedback.
- A skilled behaviour change practitioner: Deep in motivational interviewing and behaviour change frameworks
- A cross-functional communicator: Strong communication - you’ll be leading a remote team across time zones and influencing decisions with clinicians, product teams, and leadership.
- Comfortable with ambiguity: You’re operating in a fast-paced digital health environment. You don’t need all the answers, but you know how to move forward
