Banquet Houseperson - Hotel Polaris

• →Read and follow Banquet Event Orders (BEO).
• →Ensure cleanliness of banquet rooms and surrounding areas.
• →Clean banquet space using cleaning machine and chemical product.
• →Set up tables, chairs, and other supplies.
• →Tear-down and set up of the meeting and event rooms, daily.
• →Inspect all public areas (foyer, assembly areas, restrooms) for cleanliness and pleasing appearance.
• →Inspect each function room prior to, and during breaks to ensure that all requirements reflected on the daily banquet event order are met.
• →Maintain a constant awareness of safety issues.
• →Ensure a professional appearance, proper uniforms are worn, and departmental service standards are maintained.
• →Basic knowledge of wine, beer, spirits, glassware, garnishes, and beverage service techniques.
• →Run food & drinks in a fast-paced environment.

• Prior hospitality experience preferred.
• Must be detail oriented and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must possess valid Food Handler’s card upon hire.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Must be able to stand on feet and walk throughout the day.
• Must be able to frequently lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to bend, squat, push, pull frequently.
