Responsibilities

Work with a team of engineers on transit and freight rail projects.

Assist in structural analysis and design for simple and complex bridges and ancillary structures, as well as the development of structural plans and construction cost estimates and be exposed to construction support services.

Perform field inspection of bridges under qualified inspectors and assist on load rating calculations of such bridges.
Currently pursuing a BS in Civil Engineering (with emphasis in Structural Engineering or Rail Engineering) is required.
Previous internship experience preferred.
Experience using MS Office software and CADD (MicroStation or AutoCAD) preferred.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Desire to work in a team environment.

Our interns are assigned meaningful work and are given the opportunity to work on projects similar to what they would be engaging with as a full-time employee.

- Professional development workshops, including a career planning workshop and a DiSC assessment to learn more about themselves and how to work effectively with others.
- Summer-long group project where interns work alongside firm leaders to address issues that will impact our future strategy.
