Responsibilities

The Manager, Finance - Procurement oversees our complete Procurement and External Manufacturing business functions handling all financial reporting including preparation of annual budget, quarterly forecasts, and monthly variances analyses to plan, forecast and prior year. The Manager, Finance - Procurement will work on a broad range of assignments including, but not limited to, business partnering with the head of Procurement, corporate month end reporting, and presentations to senior management. Additional responsibilities include partnering with the FP&A, Operations, and Marketing teams to focus on driving overall business performance through COGS.

 

  • Support the budget, forecast, and multi-year strategic planning process
  • Prepare, maintain, and improve financial models and reporting tools
  • Work to optimize reporting tools and profit analysis for senior management by customer and product
  • Build, consolidate and analyze all financial reporting documents in both Power BI and Excel
  • Organize, assist with presentations for senior management and the Board of Directors
  • Provide financial analysis to management to measure progress and achievement versus plan and prior year
  • Coordinate and support the monthly close process by preparing month end reporting data and variance analyses
  • Partner with Marketing, Operations, and commercial finance teams to focus on driving overall COGS performance
  • Collaborate with Plant Operation teams related to raw material, packaging, labor, overhead and production cost of Milk
  • Develop deep understanding of dairy commodity market base product costs in partnership with Procurement
  • Annual review of contract pricing and vendor relationships for external manufacturing arrangements
  • Validate data from multiple sources and ensure the integrity and accuracy of the data being provided
  • Identify and drive process improvement through standard and ad hoc reporting

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably with an emphasis in business, economics, finance or accounting
  • 2-3 years of Procurement Finance experience required
  • 5-7 years of financial analysis, P&L management or related CPG Food experience in a finance management level role is strongly preferred
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (spreadsheets, database management, and presentations)
  • Ability to work well in ERP systems and data mining to support proper pricing and invoicing
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills – must be able to structure the problem, collect data and present results – preferably experience in business intelligence software such as Microsoft’s Power BI
