Step into an exciting opportunity as an EMCOR Project Management Co-Op where you will collaborate directly with Transition Project Managers and play a vital role in dynamic operations and projects. As the crucial link between sales and operations, you will help assess clients’ facility needs, analyze equipment and processes, and contribute to building and staffing top-tier maintenance programs. Your work will have a real impact on customers in diverse industries, including health care, manufacturing, banking, retail, and education.
Expect hands-on experience supporting facilities management and continuous improvement initiatives, working alongside talented teams from account management, sales, procurement, and operations. Each day will present new challenges and learning opportunities as you build your cross-functional leadership experience, exercise problem-solving skills, and assist in the management of complex projects.
- Exposure to fundamental project management tools and principles

- Experience working with data analysis and visualization, such as Power BI

- Exposure to working with mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVACR trades
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Assist Transition Project Managers with core project management tasks, including:
- →Completing work-in-progress reports on current projects
- →Labor and material cost projections/budgeting
- →Identifying, validating, and documenting clients’ facility equipment and services
- →Building process workflows
- →Developing and delivering training presentations
- →Electronic document/record management
- →Preparation of presentations to functional and cross-functional teams
- →Participate in and receive experience and training in the following:
- →Project management
- →Business unit structures
- →Identification and data recording of facility equipment
- →Facility equipment operations and maintenance
- →Preventative maintenance (PM) program development
- →Maintenance work order management systems (Corrigo)
- →Project budgeting
- →Customer service and client communication skills
- →Change order processes
- →Invoicing and financial reporting
- →Data analysis of labor, cost, and progress reports
- →Use of project software
- →Reading and understanding contracts between EMCOR and its clients
- →Understanding of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and other business metrics
- →Use of Visio software for mapping processes and creating charts and graphics
- →OSHA and other safety regulations
- →Cross-functional team leadership
- →Take part in weekly feedback sessions, monthly formal assessment sessions, and a final performance review
Requirements
~1 min read- Current enrollment in an undergraduate degree program from an accredited college or technical trade school or equivalent combination of training, education, and experience.
- Preference is for the employee to be currently pursuing a business degree; however, all majors are welcome to apply
- Must possess a valid driver's license
- Ability to read and interpret complex or documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write professionally in English
- At a minimum, qualified candidates will possess an intermediate knowledge of the MS Office Suite, including but not limited to Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
- Proficient working knowledge of additional Microsoft products, including Planner, Power Automate, Power BI, SharePoint, and Visio is desirable. Additionally, it is preferred that candidates know how to use formulas and create and manipulate Pivot Tables in Excel
- The work environment’s noise level is usually negligible but may be moderate.
- Travel may be required on an occasional basis. Travel may vary by 10% to 40% based on assigned projects.
- This role is a hybrid position located in Norristown, PA. The employee must be able to reliably commute to Norristown, PA for onsite work Monday through Thursday. Free and reliable parking is available on site. The employee would be able to work remotely each Friday
