Superintendent - Electrical

We perform installation, rigging, millwrighting, and maintenance for manufacturing and industrial markets across the Southeast.

Southern Industrial Constructors, Inc. is seeking a Superintendent - Electrical based out of the Raleigh, NC location.  Supervises activities of General Foreman and oversees site activities in overall electrical work, which may include layout, installation, and repair of wiring, wire ways, electrical fixtures, apparatus, and control equipment. The position requires travel 100% of the time.

• →Be Safety Leader on site.
• →Perform frequent safety inspections of work area, equipment, tools, and employees in accordance with SIC policy to ensure compliance with government regulations, customer requirements, and SIC’s safety program.   
• →Plan the work for optimal safety and efficiency. Then work and track the plan.
• →Manage activities of Foreman and assigned craft workers.
• →Support Project Manager with company SOP’s. For example, support PM as required to comply with scheduling, productivity tracking, and change management requirements.
• →Inspects completed systems to determine conformance to specifications.
• →Manages activities of assigned Foreman and craft workers.
• →Interpret electrical specifications, blueprints, and job orders as needed for area of supervision.
• →Interprets company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations.
• →Establish and adjusts work sequences to meet construction schedule, using knowledge of capacities of equipment and assigned personnel.
• →Study schedules and estimate worker-hour requirements for completion of job.
• →Attend project planning / scheduling meetings.
• →Analyze and resolves work problems.
• →Maintain time records.
• →Inspect quality of finished work to ensure conformance to specifications.
• →Detect, recognize and respond to dangerous conditions or situations.
• →Perform frequent safety inspections of work area, equipment, tools, and employees in accordance with SIC policy to ensure compliance with government regulations, customer requirements, and SIC’s safety program.   
• →Regular attendance is required.
• →Significant travel may be required.
• →Perform other duties as assigned. 

• Electrical Journey level minimum of 5+ years of experience. 
• 3+ years of supervisory experience.

Conditions may include working in shop, busy traffic areas, warehouses, and undeveloped properties, with frequent exposure to dirt, dust, grease, oil, vibrations, and adverse weather conditions. Must be able to safely access all areas of property, including rooftops and other elevated positions as well as, confined spaces.  Must be able to effectively use all required PPE equipment and lift up to fifty pounds. Strenuous physical demands are required to safely perform the essential functions associated with this position. Must be able to safely operate all involved equipment and tools.  Must be capable of standing for long periods of time, bending consistently, working in confined spaces with limited access, on ladders, in personnel lifts, and working in awkward body positions.
