Director of Rehabilitation - COTA

At AdvantageCare Rehabilitation, we’re seeking a Director of Rehabilitation (DOR) to lead our therapy department at Holy Redeemer Lafayette in the Fox Chase area of Philadelphia, PA.

For this particular leadership opportunity, we are seeking a Pennsylvania-licensed COTA who can bring both occupational therapy experience and strong leadership skills to the role.

As the Director of Rehabilitation at Holy Redeemer Lafayette, you’ll help shape the day-to-day experience of both your therapy team and the residents they serve.

You’ll oversee Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Speech Therapy services, partnering closely with facility leadership and the interdisciplinary care team to provide individualized, clinically appropriate rehabilitation.

This isn't simply about managing schedules and productivity.

It's about developing therapists, building a strong rehabilitation department, creating a positive team culture, strengthening clinical programming, and ensuring excellent patient care remains at the heart of what your team does.

As DOR, you’ll serve as the connection between clinical excellence, your rehabilitation team, facility leadership, and AdvantageCare.

You will:

• →Lead the daily operations and performance of the rehabilitation department
• →Support, mentor, and develop a multidisciplinary team of PT, OT, and SLP professionals
• →Provide direct patient care within your COTA scope of practice, as appropriate
• →Partner with facility leadership and interdisciplinary team members
• →Support appropriate staffing, scheduling, and caseload management
• →Promote timely, accurate documentation and outcomes-focused treatment
• →Maintain compliance with applicable federal, state, local, and professional requirements
• →Identify opportunities to strengthen therapy programming and rehabilitation services
• →Foster employee engagement, communication, collaboration, and accountability
• →Create an environment where clinicians feel supported, valued, and empowered to provide excellent care
• →Champion AdvantageCare's commitment to integrity, empathy, collaboration, and patient-centered care

AdvantageCare was founded by therapists, and many of our leaders have clinical backgrounds. We understand that a successful Director of Rehabilitation has to balance operations, clinical quality, employee development, facility relationships, and patient care.

• Graduation from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant / COTA program
• Current or eligible Pennsylvania Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant licensure
• Experience in skilled nursing, long-term care, rehabilitation, or post-acute care
• Understanding of clinical documentation, regulatory compliance, and ethical patient care
• Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills
• Ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively across disciplines
• A leadership mindset with the ability to coach, support, and develop others
• Previous Director of Rehabilitation, Rehab Director, therapy management, supervisory, or leadership experience strongly preferred
