Responsibilities

As an Associate with Hines, you will support real estate investment, development and asset management activities in Hong Kong and the Greater Bay Area, with broader support for Mainland China opportunities and operating assets. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

 

 

  • Support the evaluation of investment opportunities in Hong Kong, the Greater Bay Area and other Mainland China markets.

  • Prepare market studies, feasibility analyses and cash flow modelling for new opportunities.

  • Prepare investment proposals, including investment committee and marketing materials for pipeline opportunities.

  • Coordinate due diligence with internal teams and external advisers across legal, financial, tax, technical and other workstreams.

  • Support transaction execution, including documentation review, negotiation support, process coordination and closing.

  • Support asset management of operating properties, including business planning, valuation, leasing, investor relations, financing and performance analysis.

  • Prepare project updates, cash flow analyses, projections and reporting materials for internal and external stakeholders.

  • Monitor performance against business plans and budgets, and identify material variances and key performance drivers.

  • Participate in development management projects across the full cycle, including feasibility, design, approvals, contracting and construction oversight.

  • Coordinate with internal teams, including fund management, finance, construction, legal, marketing, leasing and operations.

Requirements

Minimum Requirements include: 

 

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.

  • Master's degree, MBA, CFA or other relevant professional qualification is preferred but not required.

  • 4+ years of relevant experience in real estate investment, asset management, development, private equity, banking or a related field.

  • Candidates with less experience will be considered for the Senior Analyst position.

  • Strong numerical, analytical and financial modelling skills, with the ability to prepare and analyse cash flow models.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Chinese, with the ability to prepare clear presentations, reports and investment materials.

  • Strong research, problem-solving and critical-thinking skills, with a high level of attention to detail.

  • Strong initiative and ability to work independently with appropriate oversight, while coordinating effectively across internal and external stakeholders.

  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Prior exposure to real estate investment and asset management in Hong Kong, the Greater Bay Area or Mainland China is preferred.
