The San Diego, CA office of Lewis Brisbois is seeking an experienced Labor & Employment Litigation Paralegal to support a sophisticated, high-volume employment defense practice. This role supports employers in wage and hour litigation, class actions, PAGA matters, discrimination, retaliation, and harassment claims, and administrative proceedings, through all phases of litigation.

- →Associate degree, bachelor's degree, or paralegal certificate from an accredited institution preferred.
- →Paralegal certification (NALA, NFPA, or equivalent) a plus.
- →Five plus (5+) years of paralegal experience supporting labor and employment litigation preferred.
- →Experience supporting wage and hour litigation, class actions, and PAGA matters strongly preferred.
- →Knowledge of employment law procedures, personnel records, payroll documentation, and discovery.
- →Proficiency with Relativity, iManage, Trial Director, CaseMap, or similar tools.
The following list of essential functions is not exhaustive, and other duties may be assigned in addition to those listed. The items listed are considered daily functions associated with this position.
- →Manage full litigation lifecycle support, including discovery, depositions, mediations, arbitrations, hearings, trial preparation, and post-trial support.
- →Support attorneys defending employers in single-plaintiff, class, and other employment actions including wage and hour litigation, class actions, PAGA matters, and discrimination, retaliation, and harassment claims.
- →Analyze personnel files, payroll records, timekeeping data, and HR documentation for discovery, deposition preparation, litigation strategy, and trial.
- →Coordinate large-scale document productions and e-discovery projects.
- →Support attorneys during trial, including exhibit management, witness preparation, courtroom coordination, and trial logistics.
- →This position has an annual billable requirement of 1,600 hours.
