A Day in the Life of a Lifeguard: As a Liberty Military Housing Lifeguard, you will be responsible for maintaining continuous supervision of patrons at the multifamily residential community pools.

~1 min read- →Assist patrons with signing in to the pool.
- →Supervise the patrons as they utilize the pool.
- →Be fully aware and attentive at all times while on duty.
- →Control and report unruly behavior of individuals not adhering to behavior pool protocols
- →Immediately provide rescue in the event of drowning or swimming incidents.
- →Ability to perform first aid and CPR according to the demands of adverse situations.
- →Perform pool chemical checks to ensure safety and hygiene.
- →Maintain a clean pool deck, and furniture to ensure safety from any damages.
- →Assist patrons with open swim, swim lessons and pool parties.
- →Check safety of rescue tubes and buoys and perform needed maintenance.
- →Complies with all OSHA safety regulations, local applicable laws regarding health, safety or environment, Fair Housing and LMH Standard Operating Procedures and Policies.

~2 min read- Must be able to successfully complete American Red Cross Lifeguarding, Administering Emergency Oxygen, Title 22 and CPR for the Professional Rescuer courses.
- Must be able to successfully complete a 300 yard swim, two minute tread without using arms and a brick retrieval.
- Maintain satisfactory knowledge on all skills throughout the season.
- Effectively communicate and interact with co-workers, managers, vendors or residents sufficient to exchange or convey information and to give or receive work direction.
- Basic computer skills (able to operate mobile device, PC).
- Must possess a positive and professional demeanour in all interactions, under all circumstances.
- Knowledge of OSHA laws and regulations.
- Must have a flexible schedule.
- Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
- Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
- Ability to travel to other regional locations for work, training, meetings and other work-related activities.
- Ability to independently lift/carry supplies or equipment up to 50 lbs.
- Work involves considerable exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, chemicals, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises.
- Must be willing to work indoor/outdoor environments, in all weather conditions, and potentially hazardous conditions.
