NWA Pediatrics is currently in search of a nurse for our Fayetteville campus. This is a full-time position working Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm. The position does require working two to three Saturday clinics (8:00am to 11:00am) per year.

The Licensed Vocational/Practical Nurse is responsible for providing direct or indirect nursing care to patients who present with urgent, emergent, or potential health problems; utilizes knowledge of basic nursing principles, practices and ethics; participates in the organization and management of the physician's practice.

How to ApplyTo apply for a position at any MANA Clinic, you must complete a MANA employment application. Applicants may list the position(s) they are interested in applying on the application and only need to complete one application. Applications are reviewed by the Human Resources Department at the MANA Administrative Office and are shared with the clinic managers. Applications are kept in our database for managers to review for six (6) months.  MANA is an equal opportunity employer.

Responsibilities

  • Assist physician; set up for procedures and exams; revising daily schedules; locating lab tests and other reports for the physician to review
  • Contact pharmacy to order new, refill and correct prescriptions; notify patients; document appropriately
  • Notify hospital when admitting patients and send physician's orders
  • Schedule diagnostic tests and procedures; notify patients of test results; schedule follow-up appointments as appropriate
  • Review and administer vaccinations and medications as ordered by the physicians
  • Triage patients to ensure productive departmental flow; return phone calls in a time manner; answer urgent phone calls as needed
