Leave of Absence Administrator (PT)

The Part-Time Leave of Absence Administrator is responsible for coordinating and administering associate leaves of absence, including medical, family, personal, and other protected leaves, in accordance with company policies and applicable federal and state regulations. This position serves as a primary point of contact for associates throughout the entire process, from start to finish.
The Administrator will oversee FMLA, ADA, PWFA, Paid Parental Leave, Short-term disability (STD), and Long-term disability (LTD) cases both internally and in partnership with the company’s third-party administrator.
- Serve as a primary resource for associates and managers, providing guidance on leave eligibility, documentation, deadlines, leave status, processes, and return-to-work requirements.
- Administer leaves of absence and accommodations, including FMLA, ADA, PWFA, paid parental leave, STD, LTD, and other protected leaves, ensuring appropriate eligibility and classification.
- Manage ADA accommodations and the interactive process, coordinating documentation and communication with associates, managers, and HR.
- Coordinate with the third-party administrator to monitor FMLA, STD, and LTD cases and provide necessary information and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable laws and regulations, escalating complex cases and policy exceptions as needed.
- Maintain accurate leave records and system data, including confidential documentation and updates to HRIS, payroll, time, pay, and related employee information.
- Coordinate benefits and return-to-work activities, including benefit premium payments, outstanding balances, payroll deductions, return readiness, and required documentation.
- Manage end-of-leave outcomes, including ongoing communication with associates, managers, and HR and coordinating appropriate return-to-work or separation processing.
- Escalate complex cases or policy exceptions to higher-level staff as required.
- Requires a bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or Management and 2–4 years of experience administering HR/leave/disability or related case/workflow management.
