About the Role
~1 min readThe Procurement and Contract Officer provides administrative and operational support to the Procurement and Commercial Manager and broader procurement function. The incumbent is responsible for preparing procurement documentation, maintaining accurate records, supporting contract and supplier management activities, and ensuring compliance with procurement policies and procedures.
This position contributes to the delivery of efficient, transparent, and value-for-money procurement outcomes across the organisation. It involves regular engagement with internal stakeholders to gather requirements, track procurement timelines, and assist in reporting and audit preparation.
Key responsibilities of the role include:
- Prepare, review, and coordinate procurement documentation, including approaches to market (RFx) and contract documentation, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance prior to release, as well as managing associated correspondence and records.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders to gather procurement and contract requirements, ensuring alignment with established procurement policies, procedures, and governance frameworks.
- Respond to procurement and contract-related enquiries, providing guidance on procurement processes, documentation requirements, and basic contract management practices.

- Ability to obtain and maintain Accreditation in accordance with Work Teach and Lead in Catholic Education Canberra and Goulburn policy
- Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) registration and Working With Children Check (WWCC)
