Management Accountant

Job Title: Management Accountant Location: Juba, South Sudan Department: Finance Reports To: General Manager Supervises: Finance Officers, Accountants and other assigned finance staff Job Purpose To ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, management accounting, reconciliations, financial controls, budgeting, analysis and regulatory compliance, while supporting management decision-making across assigned business operations. Key Responsibilities • Prepare monthly management accounts, financial reports and management packs. • Analyse financial performance against budgets and prior periods and provide recommendations. • Review bank, cash, mobile money, branch, partner, intercompany and balance sheet reconciliations. • Investigate and resolve outstanding, unusual or unexplained reconciling items. • Monitor cash positions, cash movements and liquidity requirements. • Support budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis and profitability reviews. • Coordinate regulatory, statutory and audit reporting requirements. • Review and strengthen financial and operational internal controls. • Supervise, coach and support Finance Officers and Accountants. • Drive improvements in financial reporting, reconciliation and finance processes. Requirements Qualifications & Experience • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related field. • Professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA or equivalent. • Minimum 7 years' progressive accounting and finance experience, including 2–3 years in a senior or supervisory role. • Experience in remittance, foreign exchange, banking, fintech, microfinance, cash transfer or similar financial services is highly desirable. • Strong experience in management accounts, financial reporting, reconciliations, budgeting and financial controls. • Experience with audits, regulatory reporting and supervising finance staff. Technical Skills • Strong management accounting and financial reporting skills. • Excellent reconciliation and analytical abilities. • Good knowledge of IFRS and internal controls. • Strong cash and treasury understanding. • Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills. • Experience with accounting/ERP systems. • Knowledge of budgeting, forecasting and regulatory reporting. • Must have a valid Kenyan passport. • Must be willing and available to relocate to Juba, South Sudan.
