Responsible for direct relationship marketing of financial products and services, including Treasury and commercial products. Serves as primary contact, identifies customer needs, problems and plans. Keeps apprised of competitor marketing strategies, informational materials and pricing. Assists with developing and analyzing competitive strategies and services. Creates a teamwork environment to help ensure that quality service is provided. Conducts relationships and activities consistent with established Bank policies, procedures and systems, the corporate code of conduct, Bank Secrecy Act and all applicable State and Federal laws and regulations.
Responsibilities

- →Provides oversight and direction of commercial services product sales, delivery, setup, operations, compliance, and goal achievement.
- →Manages the department’s budget, personnel, sales, incentive compensation, and customer service.
- →Serves as primary contact for commercial clients; identifies customer needs, problems, and plans.
- →Develops relationships and makes presentations to potential clients at their business locations, with their staff and owners.
- →Manages client relationships to ensure financial needs are met and expectations exceeded.
- →Provides sound financial advice and counsel to customers and prospective clients, and presents alternative solutions for complex business situations.
- →Calls on potential and existing clients to develop new business and to increase or retain relationships with current clients.
- →Represents Central Bank of Warrensburg in the community; engages in daily sales and service activities outside of the bank.
- →Analyzes economic and industry market trends to identify potential business opportunities and high-risk situations.
- →Develops a business development marketing plan using effective sales techniques to generate new relationships and sell additional products.
- →Keeps apprised of competitor marketing strategies, informational materials, and pricing; assists with developing and analyzing competitive strategies and services.
- →Develops and maintains a thorough knowledge of the bank’s products, services, operations, and organization; communicates this understanding to others and refers inquiries to the proper department or individual.
- →Develops and maintains a thorough knowledge of commercial and Treasury products and of the Bank’s credit philosophy in serving current and prospective borrowers.
- →Actively participates in sales programs and attends sales meetings and training; works with Senior Management and the commercial lending department to set and achieve targeted goals.
- →Makes effective referrals to business units for traditional and non-traditional banking products and services.
- →Creates a teamwork environment to help ensure quality service is provided.
- →Demonstrates the highest level of professionalism, effectiveness, and customer service.
- →Responsible for compliance with all banking regulations applicable to the job, including the Bank Secrecy Act and information security initiatives.
- →Majority of time spent away from the office calling on current and potential customers.
- →Willingness to assume additional responsibilities, duties, and projects as they arise; may be assigned work or training at other locations.
• Bachelor’s degree, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience providing the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
• Business development and relationship-building experience required.
• Background in bank policies, procedures, and state and federal banking regulations recommended; thorough knowledge of bank products and services.
• Demonstrated skill in soliciting business for bank deposit, commercial, and Treasury products and services.
• Ability to identify client needs, present banking solutions, recognize closing opportunities, and retain and grow customer relationships.
• Excellent verbal, listening, and written communication skills, including accurate grammar, spelling, and business correspondence.
• Strong customer relations skills and ability to work cooperatively with employees, customers, and people of diverse backgrounds as part of a team.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail; good judgment and ability to make decisions, work independently, handle confidential information, and manage multiple tasks.
• Ability and desire to be actively involved in community networking to identify and capitalize on new business opportunities.
• Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
• Willingness to work flexible hours as needed, including events on nights and weekends.
• Must maintain a current, valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record for bank insurance purposes; majority of work requires travel to customer and prospect places of business.
