Facilities Janitorial 2nd Shift

• →Follows standard work and daily checklists to ensure that all assigned tasks are performed to standard and meet expectations.
• →Clean and make minor repair to building fixtures including lights, locks, windows, doors, screens, walls, floors, gutters, and drains.
• →Clean, sanitize, and stock restrooms/locker rooms using established practices and procedures.
• →Clean, dust, and wipe furniture, sweep, mop, or vacuum floors.
• →Empty/clean wastebaskets and trash containers.
• →Use ladders when required in work assignments.
• →Remove outside debris and maintain grounds as assigned.
• →Maintain the landscape around the buildings and fence lines.
• →Clean all windows indoors.
• →Clean and sanitize lunchrooms floors, furniture, and counters.
• →Other duties assigned by the Management.

This will be a 2nd Shift / 2:00 PM- 10:00 PM Monday - Friday position located at our Plant in Walker, MI. 

Occasionally, this may require you to arrive early, stay late, or work on weekends, outside of our regular hours, to ensure we successfully meet customer needs, deadlines, or urgent requests. 

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Able to stand for 8-10 hours a day and be physically capable of performing the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English at a level sufficient to safely and effectively perform job duties, including following work instructions, safety procedures, and company communications.

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Associates Degree
• Minimum 2 years of professional janitorial experience.

• Must be able to understand and follow written and verbal workplace instructions
• Must be able to work up to 12 hours per day including Saturday and Sunday
• Proven experience as janitor or in a similar role.
• Knowledge of use and maintenance of industrial cleaning equipment and appliances.
• Familiarity with handyman and basic landscaping practices.
• Attention to detail and conscientiousness.
• Respectful and able to take direction.
• Able to work with little supervision
