Function as a technical liaison between Purchasing, Engineering, Manufacturing and Suppliers to resolve quality issues, implement and monitor advanced quality planning, and provide technical support.

Responsibilities

→Review/ assess supplier Manufacturing processes and Quality Systems in support of Purchasing sourcing goals
→Work with Suppliers to monitor compliance to Program APQP events and milestones for new Programs
→Review and provide feedback to Suppliers’ PFMEA and Control Plan in preparation for Program Launch and when revisions are required to support Corrective Actions.
→Participate in Contract and Design Reviews in support of Challenge Manufacturing Purchased Part requirements (GD&T, Qualification Requirements, Capability, etc.)
→Improve quality, price and/ or delivery performance of suppliers by conducting workshops at supplier locations, providing technical assistance in the development of a quality system, or other technical support as required
→Review tool, fixture and part design, or otherwise support the Program team in these reviews. Ensure Tooling conformance to Challenge Manufacturing requirements
→Support Manufacturing in resolving Supplier issues when Chronic or Complex problems occur
→Ensure Supplier PPAP submission is on time and complies with submission requirements
→Ensure all supplier records of compliance are retained in the appropriate place
→Ensure all aspects of Supplier compliance to contractual requirements
→Be actively involved in monitoring and, where necessary, improvement of Supplier Performance Metrics

Requirements

Associate degree from a 2- or 4-year college
5 Years in related experience and/or training
Equivalent combination of education and experience
Bachelor’s Degree from a 4-year college or university
10 to 15 years related experience and/or training
Equivalent combination of education and experience
