What We Offer

Function as a technical liaison between Purchasing, Engineering, Manufacturing and Suppliers to resolve quality issues, implement and monitor advanced quality planning, and provide technical support.

Responsibilities

  • Review/ assess supplier Manufacturing processes and Quality Systems in support of Purchasing sourcing goals
  • Work with Suppliers to monitor compliance to Program APQP events and milestones for new Programs
  • Review and provide feedback to Suppliers’ PFMEA and Control Plan in preparation for Program Launch and when revisions are required to support Corrective Actions.
  • Participate in Contract and Design Reviews in support of Challenge Manufacturing Purchased Part requirements (GD&T, Qualification Requirements, Capability, etc.)
  • Improve quality, price and/ or delivery performance of suppliers by conducting workshops at supplier locations, providing technical assistance in the development of a quality system, or other technical support as required
  • Review tool, fixture and part design, or otherwise support the Program team in these reviews. Ensure Tooling conformance to Challenge Manufacturing requirements
  • Support Manufacturing in resolving Supplier issues when Chronic or Complex problems occur
  • Ensure Supplier PPAP submission is on time and complies with submission requirements
  • Ensure all supplier records of compliance are retained in the appropriate place
  • Ensure all aspects of Supplier compliance to contractual requirements
  • Be actively involved in monitoring and, where necessary, improvement of Supplier Performance Metrics

Requirements

  • Associate degree from a 2- or 4-year college
  • 5 Years in related experience and/or training
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree from a 4-year college or university
  • 10 to 15 years related experience and/or training
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Has high standards of performance for self.
