At Church of the City, our interns play an active role in helping our church live out its mission: seeing the fame and deeds of God renewed and known in our time. The COTC Internship Program exists to develop the next generation of leaders who are passionate about Jesus, committed to the local church, and eager to grow in their gifts and calling.
Interns are placed across our four locations—Franklin, Downtown, Spring Hill, and Nolensville—and serve alongside staff in meaningful, hands-on ministry roles. Throughout the program, interns receive intentional discipleship, leadership development, and practical ministry experience in a multi-site church setting.
The internship program begins August 10, 2026 and ends May 27, 2027. These roles have a part-time schedule between Sunday - Thursday.
Responsibilities
~1 min readA successful candidate possesses competency and demonstrated experience in effective communication, emotional intelligence and conflict resolution.
Must possess general computer skills, including proficiency with Google Suite. Maintains confidentiality and demonstrates strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail. Capable of adhering to deadlines, managing multiple diverse assignments, and executing tasks effectively. Exhibits practical time management skills and works well in team settings. Demonstrates innovation by suggesting improvements within the scope of work, anticipating needs, and creating efficient, effective processes. Self-motivated, takes ownership of tasks, and shows flexibility and adaptability in dynamic situations. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and connection across generations. Flexible, collaborative, and comfortable working in a fast-paced team environment.
